We spent over a week on Siargao and had lunch+dinner at different locations everyday. We loved the food on Siargao and no complains. We never experience any stomach issues till we ate at Noods.
Dine in for 3 for lunch. Two of us had their signature “make it your own Wok noodle” and raw fish sashimi sushi appetizer. Surprisingly, no issues with those dishes and the stir fried Wok noodle dish was great. We had chicken and shrimp with the stir fried noodles.
The dish that got my friend serve food poisoning was their ramen with slices of chasiu pork on top. Read carefully, CHASIU pork is typically grilled/cook during morning prep and kept in a container in the FRIDGE ready for service. However, on Siargao and most of Philippines, it’s common for restaurants leave a plastic container of chasiu out in the heat (sometimes uncovered).
Within 30 mins or so of eating the ramen, my friend experienced the worst food poisoning of his life. We had to take him back to Bravo resort for meds. The front desk staff said this wasn’t the first time guests got food poisoning at Noods with the ramen chasiu pork.
To top this off, our waitress took forever to come back with our change. She obviously assumed the change was tips. No other restaurants on Siargao did this and we...
Read moreI had an unforgettable experience at Noods Wok Bar, and I can't wait to share how remarkable it was. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant atmosphere set the stage for a truly memorable meal. The noodles were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of chewiness that made each bite a delight. The ramen, oh the ramen! Its broth was rich and deeply flavorful, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds.
The baos and dumplings were the perfect complements, especially the vegetarian options that were both inventive and delicious. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, showcasing a blend of traditional flavors with a modern twist.
The porró drink added a fun and refreshing touch to the evening, making it even more enjoyable to share with friends. Noods Wok Bar truly offers a dining experience that's both satisfying and full of personality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where the food is as vibrant and lively as...
Read moreNoods, nah, don't start with something private. Noods stand for noodles, and they're ready to serve you different kinds and flavors here.
For starters, the place is VERY INSTAGRAMMABLE. They have a ground floor which is already nice, but wait 'til you see the second floor/deck that they have—really pretty with great blend of colors, lighting, and some trinkets.
The food though, is average. Yes to hefty servings, but meh to the taste because I got a very salty Mie Goreng with salty tofu and egg. If you'll have the same order, ask for lesser soy sauce so you can savor on the natural taste of the ingredients. Their desserts are a good try, but a little sweeter for my liking.
If you can't find the place, ask the tricycle driver to drop you off Lunares Cafe, which is just on the opposite side...
