Lubihan Siargao — Hotel in General Luna

I had the pleasure of staying at Lubihan Siargao for five days while exploring the beautiful island of Siargao, and I can't recommend this place enough. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service stood out. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing valuable tips on what to do around the island, keeping us informed about their hours of operation, and coordinating room cleaning with perfect communication. Their attentiveness truly made our stay unforgettable.

Our room was clean and comfortable, equipped with fresh sheets, towels, good internet connectivity and air con. Although we opted for the room without a balcony, it was great to know that upgrades were available for those looking to enhance their experience. The flexibility in room choices meant we could comfortably stay within our budget, yet still enjoy all the essentials.

The location of Lubihan Siargao couldn’t have been better—right on Tourism Road, surrounded by fantastic restaurants, lively bars, and just a short distance from the stunning beaches. Renting a scooter was easy and made exploring the island a breeze. It’s the perfect base for anyone looking to experience all that Siargao has to offer.

The property itself is charming, with lush tropical plants and friendly dogs that create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Clean filtered drinking water is readily available, which was a thoughtful touch. I was also impressed by how accommodating they were in organizing our airport transfer and handling our laundry, further showcasing their exceptional service.

What made this stay even more special is knowing that my daughter stayed here a few months prior, and they took great care of her as well when she got sick. It speaks volumes about their consistency in delivering top-notch hospitality.

My 30-night stay at Lubihan Siargao was an unforgettable experience, earning it a solid 9 out of 10 rating. This hidden gem truly captured my heart with its charm, warmth, and unbeatable location.

Lubihan Siargao's only drawbacks, which prevented it from achieving a perfect score, were the unpaved pathway leading to the entrance and occasional puddles forming during rainy weather. Despite these minor inconveniences, they didn't detract significantly from the overall experience.

The staff at Lubihan Siargao were the true stars of the show. Over the course of my stay, I formed genuine connections with them, and their unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction. Whether I needed assistance with excursion planning, dining recommendations, or simply a friendly chat, they were always there to help with a smile.

Speaking of location, Lubihan Siargao's central position was a major highlight. Being situated right in the heart of everything made exploring the island a breeze. From pristine beaches to bustling markets and vibrant nightlife, everything was within easy reach.

A comfortable and affordable place to stay at without the busy foot traffic in Gen Luna :)

Location - Located in Gen Luna but not right on main road so be prepared to take a short walk to get to Lubihan. The road going to Lubihan is not cemented so be prepared for water puddles!

Rooms - We stayed in a first floor room which had 2 large beds. The room is clean and has a spacious bathroom and a kitchen on the hallway. They provide cooking stuff including induction cooker so that’s great for those who like to cook. Never used them tho!

Service - The owner Heidi met us during check in and check out.She was accommodating and kind. There are staff in the area so you have access to help at any time. They also send you event updates in case you want to partyyy :)

Dogs - I recommend Lubihan if you’re comfortable with big dogs. The resident dogs will bark at you at first but they get friendly :) I love dogs but I’m not used to bigger dogs so this was quite a challenge to me :(

Bugs - Might be inevitable so if you encounter bugs, you can borrow an insect killer from the staff.

Toiletries - They offer towels and bathroom tissues.

Water - The water smells and tastes funny so pls pls bring your own tumbler. There are water dispensers you can use to refill your tumblers.

Wifi - Was painfully slow during our stay. Luckily, I brought my own...
