this is the best resto in siargao that we have been to.
Plain Lassi (salted) - it’s okay, although we tasted something added to it aside from yogurt, salt, and ice. Not quite sure what it is. Flavors are balanced, would get one again if I can - 7/10
Buttered Naan - looks like they make their own naan. Kinda thick for me and perfectly flat. tiny bit overly done, but it is still good - 7/10
Birria - I was surprised when they served it, the cheese isn’t melted. I tried to get a piece of the cheese, but it was nice.
As for the consomé, it’s nice, but it kinda misses the beefy flavor that I’m looking for.
The beef in the taco isn’t from the beef that was cooked together with the consomé. It’s made of ground beef with turmeric, which i find weird. I didn’t expect so much from it, but it’s okay. Every taste blended together - 7/10
Kebab - the beef was thinly grounded. When i sliced it, I immediately saw a yellowish color on the meat, meaning it was mixed with turmeric. Taste is okay, but the feel when chewed is kinda awkward for me.
Garlic sauce was creamy and garlicky, which i like. Chili sauce is very spicy, i remembered that one filipino that i met who makes very good hot sauce.
Turmeric rice, they sticked to the truth and didn’t called it basmati rice, unlike other restos. 10/10 for that honesty. It’s okay, plain short-grained rice mixed with turmeric oil. It was okay.
8/10
Ambiance- 9/10. No AC though.
PS. we’re not doing this for the free iced tea. We just want to give an...
Read moreWe ordered a variety of dishes, including the Vegan Platter, French fries with chat masala, chicken curry, and garlic naan. Here’s how each item fared:
• Vegan Platter: This dish was a pleasant surprise. It had a good mix of flavors, and the portion size was just right for a healthy, satisfying meal. • French Fries with Chat Masala: These fries were a standout. The seasoning with chat masala elevated the flavor, giving a tangy, spicy kick that paired well with the crispiness of the fries. Definitely a must-try for a fun twist on regular fries. • Chicken Curry: The star of the meal. The curry was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender, and the blend of spices hit all the right notes. If you’re a fan of chicken curry, this dish won’t disappoint—highly recommended. • Garlic Naan: Unfortunately, this was a bit of a letdown. The naan was just average, lacking the fluffiness and flavor we were hoping for. It could use a bit more attention to detail to meet expectations.
Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at Cumin Restaurant. The ambiance was good, and the service was prompt. While the garlic naan fell short, the delicious chicken curry and flavorful fries more than made up for it. We’ll be back for more...

When I order then she said the lat me check if the super vigan is available or not then she talk to kitchen and came back and said yes it available and I order it but after 10 minutes she came to my then there is daal not available in my order and she said we can only give you chickpeas. It's out of my mind that she checked before taking order but still order is not completely available. I had no choice to go other restaurant and eat so I had to eat here.
Few day before I came to this restaurant and I was the only customer in restaurant and I order same super vigan as I am pure vegetarian and they took 45 minutes to serve me food and half of food was cold and half able to eat. Most of time all staff are super busy in cellphone, outside and in kitchen as well. I order first but they serve food to customer first who order 15 minutes later then me so this is horrible and I have never seen it before .
