Maharlika Siargao — Hotel in General Luna

I was occupying a solo room for the first 3 nights of my stay. The room was not great, but it’s okay for the price i paid. The internet was decent so I can work inside the room. I was already a bit concerned because prior to booking, I asked if they have a work area and I was told that they have. Unfortunately, the working area is also the “socials” area where guests can drink and sing in karaoke. Working was still doable even if it was noisy outside because I can work inside my room. The noise cancellation app and the closed door helped a lot. But the room was not cleaned well when i checked in. I had to ask for it to be cleaned up because it looked like it hasn’t been swept for a long time. On the 4th-9th day of my stay, I needed to transfer to a different room to be with my friends. Unfortunately, there’s no internet in that room. I never thought of bringing my wifi extender because of the idea that they have a “work area”. And they don’t have wifi extender too. So at night, when it’s time to work, i need to use the common space outside. It was a disaster. As soon as we arrived, both the staff and the owner were unaware of our reservation, made 2 days earlier on booking.com. The room was not the one chosen and paid for. Double double bed with en-suite bathroom the one chosen, first floor. Instead we were accommodated in a hole... small room, ground floor and especially in front of the kitchen 1 metre from the tables where people eat. Full of locals who make an absurd racket .
