I have to start this review by saying that the staff there are very kind, helpful and couldn't do enough for you|The location is ideal, right on the beach||But the property hasn't been kept up to date.|The AC doesn't work well. After a lot of effort we finally found a setting that was ambient and didn't freeze us. They don't have staff who can deal with technical issues and fix electricals if needed||I asked one of them if Wyndham has just taken over this property and that is why it is in such poor state of repair since they haven't updated it yet after taking over. So they said that, that isn't the case and it has always been the case. It was always a Wyndham property. I was truly disappointed with this property.|I have stayed at other Wyndham properties and I know (knew) that their standards are very high but that is not the case for this property||The bathroom is very old and sad. The same goes for the towel as well. ||AS the rooms face a central corridor and seating area, it can be quite noisy but they do stop everyone from playing there in the evening (can't remember whether it was 10 or 11pm) but reasonable time nonetheless||The swimming pool is a lot smaller than how it shows in the photos||When I booked it, they had the 7500 points offer for every two nights. Not only I did not get 15000 points for my stay, they hadn't even tracked my stay. I did not get an email asking me to give my review and after chasing them, they gave me 2042 points for the stay and no offer points, despite me writing to them twice. ||I did not expect the low quality of accommodation and not crediting my account with the offer points. ||Can't understand why a company like Wyndham would do that. Hence this detailed review so everyone knows before deciding...

We stayed in this hotel last 21-25 August 2019. The place is located in front of Diniwid beach which is isolated (but within the same shoreline) from stations 1-3. The hotel can be reached through a small road cutting across a local village. This is perfect for people who would like to have some privacy but at the same time access to Boracay's stations from time to time.

There is a shuttle that Ferries guests to and from D'Mall Boracay every 1.5 hours. All you have to do is schedule it with the front desk. You can also walk along the shore going to station 1 which will take you to a scenic path along rock formations. There is a walk path for this but I do not suggest you do this at night. The walk will take you around 15 minutes to station 1. Boracay is under rehabilitation right now so roads are being rebuilt so transport can be a little shaky at times.

Inside the hotel, there is free flowing coffee for guests all day long. As a coffee lover, this is a big thing for me. The lobby is also spacious with free flowing air- perfect for lounging around. The rooms are not new but well-maintained. The beds are comfy and the AC is cold. There is also a small pool before the beach- perfect for small kids. Outside, if you walk up road, is a new mall called City Mall. In here, you can grab quick bites if you feel lazy taking the trip to D'Mall.

You should also try their in room massage which starts at 500 Pesos. It's not just cheap but great. Massage services in-room in other hotels starts at 700 Pesos.

A little downside is that mobile signal is weak inside the rooms so you may miss some calls. Internet speed is fine but can slow down once everyone connects. Staff is very courteous too.

We will...

We stayed 8 days here, our group included my family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids) & 3 seniors. My family really enjoyed our stay here. All our interactions with the staff was great, they provided amazing service with any request we made. ||The free shuttle to DMall was great! Shout out to Marlon! If you want to get picked up/dropped off anywhere along the way they would accommodate us. If you time it right you can get dropped off at CityMall and walk back (about 10 minutes). ||We opted to upgrade our rooms and get the 2nd floor rooms facing the pool and ocean. That was worth the extra cost. Warning, that you can hear the evening entertainment. We are not fussy with noise so it didn't bother my kids. ||The rooms themselves were very clean, on par with 4/5 star hotels (we stayed at a 4 star hotel on Bohol). Room cleaning did a great job at getting the sand out of our rooms when requested. ||The hotel itself was great, we appreciated the filtered water stations provided which saved us from purchasing bottled water on our own. The pool was great and never that busy although the chairs would be "saved" early by other guests (don't be those ppl that leave their towels there for the entire day). ||The games provided and playground was one of the key reasons we selected this hotel. It allowed our kids to run around in a safe environment where we could keep an eye on them during our meals. I think anyone with small children will appreciate a break from chasing their kids. ||Mama Fish house's food was great! Loved the breakfast and the dinner/lunch options were well cooked and season. Although, if its a busy night be patient. ||Overall, we strongly recommend Microtel and would defintely stay...

In hotels, there are always things to like and dislike. I happen to arrive early in the morning and most hotels won't check you in before 2pm but I got lucky because the reception staff were very thoughtful. They gave me a room on the ground floor which I liked. Everything was working well. The rooms need a bit of an upgrade but I liked the queen beds and how spacious the room was and that it has high ceilings. The food was great and fresh (we ordered seafood). It was pricey but seems like the same price range when we went to D'Mall anyways. They have free coffee all day, water, and my fave was the ice machine right outside my room! Love it. the security guards work 24/7. Wifi was reliable. There's a free shuttle to D'Mall from 9am to 10pm- you just have to let the staff know ahead of time when you want to be sent out or picked up. The beach was in a bit rocky side of the island since it is near a bunch of coves but there is privacy and already sandy if you walked a couple meters into the water. It's not as spotless as White Beach of course. You can go there anyways if you want to be in a mob of people. Haha! There are bad reviews in here but I guess they took notes and improved their service. Kudos to the management.

We had a wonderful stay at this family friendly hotel. Situated in Section 1 of Boracay - it is a bit off the main path. However, you can enjoy some peace and tranquility, and be away from the bustling area of the main sections. The hotel does, however, offer a free shuttle service on a regular basis throughout the day to get to the main part of the city. The property is located directly on the beach. You have an amazing view of the sunset. What I love about the beaches is that there are more locals than tourists. It was a delight to see the young local children playing on the beachside. There is also a restaurant in the property called Mama’s Fish House. The food is absolutely delicious and they make the best cocktails. The staff here is absolutely amazing. They are all So friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. They are also constantly cleaning the hallways and making sure that everything is in top condition. We are very satisfied in our room. It was large enough for two people. The rooms were cleaned every day What I also liked were the diffusers throughout the hotel, which added to its pleasant atmosphere. I definitely recommend staying here and would stay here myself if I were to come back.
