For many many years until 2016, twice a year, I’d go to Boracay. During those visits, I’d spend 2-3 nights at Kasbah for dinner and/or drinks with dozens of my staff and guests.
I returned to Boracay this Dec. 2021 and of course, I had to visit Kasbah. Prior to my arrival, I called Kasbah (now Kasbar) last Dec 3 and spoke to the manager who confirmed my reservation for Dec 10, 530pm.
When I arrived in Boracay Dec 8, I went to Kasbah, met the manager in person, who re-confirmed my reservation for Dec 10, 530pm. I also met the owner who was very thankful for my businesses I gave them of the past and that I returned to patronize them more.
On Dec 10, 5:32pm, as I and my 3 guests were on the way to Kasbar, I received a call from Kasbar. Their shocking message was that they are moving my group’s reservation to 8pm because there is a bigger group of 20 persons who will occupy the table I’ve reserved at 530pm which. That same reservation they confirmed twice. And even though they were aware that I am a long time returning loyal customer, that I’ve made the reservation ahead and have gotten the reservation confirmation twice, the other bigger group will get the table we reserved.
I cannot believe that at this day and age, there are still restaurants in the Philippines who are are rude, inept t or just downright half-witted who do not know common courtesy, respect nor the essentials of customer service.
And they informed me at the time of my reservation? Something’s wrong with these people.
Anyway, the manager sent an sms 20 minutes after I generously gave her a piece of my mind. In her sms, she said that we can have our table back. I also got a missed call and an sms from the owner about an hour later but we did not connect.
Of course, my party decided to have our dinner and drinks elsewhere. We had it at LOS INDIOS BRAVOS at the White House, just a few meters away. The staff were super awesome and friendly. Food was excellent and cocktails were superb. The Captain, Ding, went out of his way to delight. Turns out Los Indios Bravos is the # 1 rated restaurant in Boracay.
Because of Kasbar’s rudeness, I discovered a better place - Los Indios Bravos, which is now the go-to place for me and my staff and guests. Goodbye Kasbar - perhaps you should get a manager who knows a little bit about running a restaurant business. Or perhaps put up a sign that says “Warning: Your reservation may be cancelled if a bigger group wishes to get your...

Read moreHow could you not like it in here!!!! Kasbar is almost the perfect place to be!
We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary in Boracay and for our 2nd night we transferred in Kasbar. It was a very hot afternoon when we arrived, we were got tired but because of their welcome drink (Mango Shake) the feeling of being exhausted was changed to being refreshed. Gosh welcome drink palang panalo na! It's so refreshing and I bet the mango that was used is also fresh. Their room was so relaxing just like what we are looking for, a dream room for us (big window with sea view) plus a bonus of a relaxing good comfort room with a tub.
It's really a big bonus for us celebrating a simple yet a very budget friendly anniversary. Great view, great food, plus a great service! What can you ask for? Their chicken kebab and creamy spinach pita pizza was unexplainable good yummy as in!!!! We were a bit shocked because it is not our typical free breakfast but gosh it was really good! We missed it already 🥹
Even though its loud at night because they have a resto bar downstairs, its okay cause we don't hear it inside our room. It was really a relaxing place for us. And we cannot wait to come back! Grabe ang bait pa ng mga staff!
If ever they got a bad review I think it's because they are not used to a Moroccan dishes. But like me I am not fan with this kind of food but when I tasted it oh I'll keep on coming back!!!!
Thank you po so much for the great food, great service and hospitality. I really don't regret trusting the owner before I booked! ☺️🫶🏻
