CityMall Boracay — Local services in Malay

Been here many times but never reviewed before. The super market is probably the best on the island, great produce and a good selection of food and goods and prices are very good. We bought lots of things to take home including a few bottles of alcohol that had a great price compared to the high taxed prices back home. Staff are super friendly, a security guard seeing we didn’t have so much stuff helped to guide us to a cash register at the side of the store slowing us to get processed more quickly. They have a food court on site and clothes shops that forever seem to have deals. Fiesta also has a store here where you can buy souvenirs and clothes branded Boracay for gifts and the quality is pretty good. Worth a visit, easy to get to from anywhere in the island but if returning late in the evening expect to rent a whole Tuk Tuk as there may not be many...

Just to share my experience:

I bought a pillow that was advertised as buy 1, take 1. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice that there were already two pillows in the pack. I told the cashier that I only needed one set, but since the transaction was already punched, it needed to be voided which I believe required manager approval.

We called for a manager and ended up waiting around 15–25 minutes.

Eventually, Ms. Angela arrived. However, she looked very displeased, spoke to the cashier in a rude tone, and even said “damo ko ubra likod”.

This was very disappointing, especially considering that she is the manager and represents the face of your supermarket. She showed no patience and lacked the basic values of customer service.

Because of this experience, I have decided that I will no longer shop at this...

Just found today that there is a citymall in Boracay. I had issues with my contact lenses and looked for an optimitrist. I was so happy when I found out there was an Executive Optical and is located in citymall. It is a bit far from the island. We were able to go to EO, buy pants from sandugo and shop at watsons. Had coffee at Highlands coffee too. It has all the standard stores of a citymall and we really enjoyed stay. We travel a lot and we always pass by whenever we see a citymall to buy our needs and we are glad to know that there is one in...
