Before we even reached the attraction, a group of locals surrounded us, insisting that we let them take photos for us. I had read online that some people only gave a 50-peso tip for this kind of service, so we were already planning to ask locals for help with pictures. When we arrived at the spot, we asked about the cost, and they replied, “Just give a tip afterwards.” So, we handed over our phone and let them start taking photos. But once they started, they kept coming up with excuses to drag things out—like saying the photo just taken wasn’t good enough, that we should wait until sunset for better shots, and since they were a group helping multiple visitors at once, we also had to wait for them to finish with others. Basically, they used all sorts of reasons to delay. In the end, we spent more than two hours there, which completely messed up our schedule. Eventually, because it was taking way too long, we told the guy we wanted to stop and not take more photos. But then he said that since we had taken so many shots, changed angles and poses several times, and spent such a long time, we had to pay 1,000 pesos per person. Even though it was totally unreasonable, the entrance and exit of the attraction was extremely narrow—basically just one way in and out—and they had it blocked. There were nearly ten of them, and since it was already getting dark, we felt we had no choice but to pay quickly and leave. In the end, the two of us paid 2,000 pesos^^. Just want to remind everyone to be careful and not fall for the same scam😭. The place is...
Read moreQuite a beautiful spot. Do not use Google Maps as it will involve a 20 minute walk. If you want to skip this walk use the location "Diniwid Beach Road" and the go down to the beach. From here you can see it, just take the path. It's breathtakingly beautiful once you get past the anchored boats and several boatmen. This also leads to another beach but we did not swim on...
Read moreInteresting place. We visited few times at different time to see the change with the light and walked to Diniwid beach one time. The annoying part was the local kids and guides that taking photographs for a fee, they kept hogging the place and not really giving space for anyone else and some of them are very rude and act like they...
