I had a great stay at Jake and Zyra.||The rooms are very comfortable; the interior was finished with wood veneer, which looks great and keeps really clean. The bed was very comfortable, with good pillows, and very clean nice quality sheets. |The bathroom was spacious and very clean; newly tiled, with large modern sink. Each room has an outdoor veranda/balcony area. The price makes the rooms very good value.||The location was great - just a short comfortable walk (approx. 500m) to the beach and town centre.||The owners/staff are lovely; so friendly and helpful. They arranged motorbike rental for me (for a day trip to San Vicente - see attached photo from the look-out over Long Beach - so beautiful!), and also arranged my boat trip island hopping. Drinking water is available (free of charge) to refill your water bottle (great to save pesos and plastic!), and hot coffee provided in the mornings.||Overall: great rooms, great value, great location, and lovely people. If I return to Port Barton, I would definitely stay at Jake...
Read moreWe chose to stay at Jake and Zyra to relax in port Barton and to escape the crowd of El nido. This local family accommodation is composed of 4 little houses and a common area with free water, coffee and wifi, all built by the Manuelito, the owner. I was supposed to see how affordable is it compared to the quality! It’s located only 7 min walk from the center, and there is a breakfast place next door I booked one little house for myself and one for my parents. They are well equipped: bedroom + separate bathroom/toilets, with queen bed, towels, shelves, hooks to hang clothes, hangers, bedside table… and also a really cute balcony at the entrance No hot water but it’s not really needed as Palawan is always pretty warm! Manuelito and his family were welcoming, available and friendly and they made a effort to make themselves understandable to my parents who don’t speak English I recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate...
Read more4 amazing days in the slice of paradise! Manuelito was the loveliest host, always around to help you with anything (including sorting out the tours and bus journeys). The place is adorable, with huts for 2 people and a sizeable patio/balcony area each. It was such a lovely place to relax after a long day and well located just a short walk from town meaning it was very quiet. Free coffee and unlimited water in the reception area. There is wifi, however it only reaches the reception area and first cabin (which we were in), but we didn’t mind as we came to disconnect! Thanks again, would really...
