Mil's Hillside Inn was a great location for me as a solo traveller. I upgraded my room to an airconditioned one and I enjoyed my stay as well. Overlooking the mountain side, it really lives up to its name. The room was cozy and clean and you can really feel nature engulfing over you during the mornings and afternoons. I particularly find the staff really helpful and kind as well. They have been very accommodating to my needs, like water for coffee, and carrying my heavy luggage on the way to Port Barton terminal, which is quite near from Mil's. Also, they offer tours and transfers at the front desk. If I had known that earlier, I would have arranged those two things with them. So if you're looking for a tour and transfer, kindly reach out to them as well as they can do that for you, too. Not necessarily directly to place itself as this is beyond their control. I'm just glad they are honest and helpful with letting me understand the situation. This is more related to Port Barton town. During my stay, it was unfortunate that I experienced a town-wide brownout, meaning there was no electricity all over town. Though, I'm still fortunate because I got a chance to enjoy the room even for a little while before the brownout. It came back right around the time I was to leave the stay. Still, I got lucky on that since I able to charge my electronics. I was told I'll get a refund, but it's fair enough if I do or don't since it's not entirely their fault in the first place. So friendly reminder to travellers to manage your expectations with the town as there are unexpected brownouts or electric interruptions happening that the accommodation that can't control. Also, adding in that the road to the inn is quite bumpy and a bit rocky. I hope the town also improves that one and add some streetlights so tourists feel safe walking at night or early in the morning. The beach is quite near, just a few walks. It had the loveliest sunrise and sunset I ever witnessed. It has this calming nature to it, plus there are only few tourists during the time I visited.

The bungalow room and family room has a cockroach infestation in the bathrooms, roach poo is all over the surfaces and they are very active at night. A couple in the Philippines is to be expected , but this really was a lot. The budget room however is newer and much better cleanliness.
