Cons The wifi being shut off because it's low season. Shitty practice when you advertise free wifi. Thats just a big no for me

NOT QUIET: You can hear the very loud music from the bar from 8pm to 3/4am. If not from the bar it will be from the drunk guys sleeping in the high top tent, with a 24/7 tied dog whos barking. If not it will be the drunk people getting out of the bar. That's the price to pay to sleep next to the party spot. During the day it's still not quiet

Bathrooms could be more clean, there's mold growing on the wall and it stinks. Lots of issue with the water pressure and hot water (barely to none). People from the bar come and use it, so it can be very messy the next day...

Room is too small to welcome comfortably 8 people. Sometimes the ac remote dissappear and the ac is turned off (not by the clients) which makes the night uncomfortable and hot (specifically when there's already 6 people in a small room)

Outside of town (10min walk) and the hill to climb back up. Which could be nice if it meant it was a quiet and peaceful place but it's definitely not

To resume, I wouldn't recommend it. The view is nice but everything else needs to...

It's a really lovely place to stay, we even extend our stay. The girl on the counter was really kind and is trying her best while taking care of her kid. The terrace and hammocks are amazing and the view invites you to just enjoy for hours days or even a week, to read books or play cards with your mates. Sometimes a lovely small cat comes and joins you in the hammock she is very nice. The rooms are very good in temperature and in good condition, though bed 4 is already a bit done Maybe it needs replacement. Showers and toilets are also in good condition and mostly well cleaned. The trash cans could be emptied more frequently throughout the whole place. The prices are at the moment at 400php per night. Which is really a perfect price/quality ratio...

We had a great stay at moon bar hostel. The beds were cozy and comfortable and our worries about the noise of the moon bar were groundless: It was very quite due to a proper acoustic insulation. You can enjoy the absolute incredible view over port barton on one of the two platforms which was our personal highlight. Everything is very clean and is constantly maintained. Only improvement proposal would be to install movement sensitive lights to avoid too many insects in the public areas. Other then that we really loved...
