MESA - SM AURA — Restaurant in Taguig

I find the staff rude. No host (not even a waiting spot where the host would usually be) but he expected us to wait outside to be seated when the restaurant barely had any costumers that time. Since there was no host nor a waiting area, we decided to just help ourselves but the waiter or manager?? Stopped us and made us go out again, but I did not comply since it’s his fault no one was front of the house. He should have just escorted us to the table as we were halfway there than reprimand us.

We ordered, and it took a long time! More than 30 mins serving time. I was expecting we’re getting 12 scallops for one order, but it was only 10! I expected 12 because I overheard the other table next to us ask how many scallops in one order, that waiter or manager ?? Told them 12, but we only got 10. The bbq tasted off, like it was boiled and then just charred to make it look like its grilled. Ughhhh super ew.

They even forgot we ordered dessert. Had to wait another 30 minutes for that and followed up twice. The bill came back after 20 freaking minutes.

Avoid this branch at all costs. I’ve been to their branches in Boracay and Greenbelt, it’s not like this! To think that they’ve increased prices but services has gone downhill for...

Filipino modern cuisine with lechon and ostrich dish. We tried the drunken ostrich dish for the first time and it was so so. Cant distiguish the meat from usual meat due to its strong flavors of sweetness, gingery and soy sauce. We also ordered Favorite B which is basically a combination of grilled meats and seafoods. The meats were perfectly grilled which you can really assessed on the chicken meat. All was painted with sweet soy sauce. However, the scallops fall short of expectation due to its small size but it was still good because unlike the frozen scallops, it seems like it was fresh as there was no fishy smell.

In terms of service, attendant welcomed us and proceeded to our seats fast. Food was served about 20 minutes or more. Floor attendants however keeps sweeping and mopping the floor which gives a bleach smell while eating. Floor attendants tends to lose become lax in interim and last phase of eating, had mutliple times of calling and asking once again to refill our water, taking out our food and payment.

Atmosphere seems to be okay, dim yellow lighting gives the ambience of the place and peak hours started...

Definitely not coming back to this branch. We first ordered the boodle b and dessert sampler. Waitress came back and said that all bundles on the menu were not available. So while choosing from their menu we asked if they can serve the dessert first, but maybe due to loud music they played she didn't understand. We even followed up the dessert sampler but the mains came in first so never mind. While eating i noticed that there was something different on my food, it's either the rice or the kangkong with lechon. So I smelled my rice on the bowl and there's nothing unusual and I asked my daughter how was her rice and she said it's OK, just the normal rice. Then I'm on my last spoon of rice and kangkong when I saw hair on my plate. Definitely not my hair. I didn't bother to complain coz I already ate their food, I just felt like throwing up. Paying bills and getting the receipt took so long i need to get and keep the receipt coz if something happened to me, i had a proof . We went straight to the mall restroom...
