iHotel Uptown BGC — Hotel in Taguig

I recently stayed at iHotel Uptown BGC for 2 days and 1 night during a business trip, and it was a pleasant experience. Below are some highlights from my stay:1. Check-In and Reception: The service was impeccable from the moment I arrived. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The receptionists were friendly, welcoming, and attentive to detail. They kindly requested our valid IDs for booking validation and provided a brief overview of the hotel’s policies.2. Room Quality: I booked a twin-bedroom room located on the Lower Ground floor (L3). The room was modern, spacious, and immaculately clean, although it lacked a window. The bed was comfortable—neither too hard nor too soft—with two pillows per bed. The room also featured a flat-screen television.3. Amenities: While the hotel offers good facilities, there are a few areas for improvement: - Parking: The parking lot is limited, with space for only about 10 cars, depending on their size. - Breakfast and Dining: There is no free breakfast or hotel cafe, which would have been a convenient addition for guests. - Complimentary Bottled Water: It would be great if bottled water were provided for guests without additional charges.4. Location: The hotel’s location is excellent for exploring the city. It’s just meters away from Bonifacio Global City, within walking distance to major attractions, shopping districts, and public transportation. Despite its central location, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city.5. Interiors:- Toilet was very cramped and not designed very well as legs can’t be spread properly (I’m 5’10) - Size is comparable to a budget airline seat - legroom and spacing- Bathroom shower drains very slowly- Hot water was limited and it stopped halfway my bathService: - You can request for a duvet or fleece blankets for an additional fee(100 php each) and will vary depending on what type of room you have - including their hair dryer- Remote control battery got weak so we tried requesting for battery replacements - their SOP is to test the remote first which I declined since someone was already sleeping and the person who can provide the battery replacement only reports during the day.Customer Service - More accomodating and friendly to foreigners vs LocalsParking - Limited to 8 vehicles so first come first served. You can’t bring your car inside to drop off your bags and would have to walk from the gate entrance to the lobby. Parking attendant could have provided more clear instructions as to where we can park instead of just saying to go straight ahead at the street across the hotel (Parked at Uptown Eastgate Parking). Good thing we checked in at 3am or else we would have a hard time parking there since a lot of party goers who park there.- was okay. Budget hotel interiors which would make you feel your not in a motel.- my main concern is how the receiptionists have dual personalities. Pros Walkable if you're near Uptown up to Citi Plaza (10-15 mins) & other corporate buildings around. Near Mcdo and 7/11 Affordable If you cannot immediately check-in at the standard check in time, you can leave your stuff at the hotel. They allow early check-in but it depends on the room availability. Fast transaction at the help desk The room has an electric thermos, a mini fridge, and mugs ready if you want your hot drinks. The room is clean, the aircon is cold enough and remote controlled. Warm lights, easy on the eyes, clean minimalist interior. Toiletries included: Toothbrush with toothpaste, slippers and towels Water dispenser within the floor The area around the hotel is well lit at night, even from 12am to midnight.

Cons Very limited parking The water heater in the shower doesn't work well, the water is just warm, not hot enough for me I guess Not that soundproof, you might hear distant noises from vehicles outside TV doesn't have Netflix. It is also placed too high that it may be uncomfortable watching from your bed, you can't plug a flashdrive if you have your own movies. CR is a little cramped.
