I have been traveling to many countries in Europe for a long time. First of all, this was my first trip to Poland. After my business meetings in Germany, I checked the scores on Booking.com and made a reservation at this hotel. After a busy business trip and a busy journey, I checked in at the hotel around 12 at night. I also came to Poland for a business trip. Since I use cash, I made a reservation for this hotel through Booking.com using the pay at hotel option. I took out my Euro cash during check-in, but they said they could not accept payment in Euros. I told them that it was late and I had not yet been able to convert my money into Polish zlotys. They said that they could not accept Euro cash and that they would have to block 600 Euros on my credit card for my payment of approximately 300 Euros. I told them that my payment was normally 300 Euros and that I did not have that much money on my credit card. I said that I could leave my passport and 300 Euros as a deposit, but they still did not accept it. I said that it was late at night and that I was very tired. Since we could not solve the problem, I asked them to cancel the reservation and accept it free of charge. Because I wanted to go to another hotel and sleep. However, they said that they could not accept this and that they should ask their manager the next morning. I also told them to take the 300 Euros, exchange it and put it in your safe in the morning, but they still did not accept it. As a guest, I always offered a solution. Finally, we reached an agreement by saying that they could block 300 Euros in cash and a certain amount on my credit card. This situation upset me because I had chosen to be a guest here.. The next morning, before going to the interview, I went to the reception to get 300 Euros in cash. I was going to take this money, exchange it and make my payment. There were 3 people at the reception. I informed them of the situation. I was only expecting a little understanding and a smile from them. Maybe a little apology for the situation we experienced late at night... because I was hurt and tired. However, a lady at the reception spoke to me as if she was trying to teach me that I was in Poland and that every country had its own currency and that I could not pay in Euros in other countries. In this case, I really questioned how this hotel had reached this score. How could such a mentality be possible. You are in a European country, of course every country has its own currency. However, it provides services worldwide and not everyone may have been able to exchange their money at that time of night or may not have money on their credit card. You can also pay with Euros in hotels in many countries. In short, it was actually a smile and sincerity.. because I came to your home as a guest. It was my first experience in Poland. But it was not my first experience in many areas. I hope that you will be more understanding and helpful to your guests after me in such a crisis. It was...
Read moreFirst impression was a very nice hotel in a quiet street only a short walking distance to the center of the city. Hotel was about 30 min. drive from the airport.||We had booked the Presidential Suite for 4 people, but when we arrived it had only been reserved for 2, so it took a while to get us checked in.||In the room there was Cava, fresh fruit and sweets for 2 people. No extras came despite us pointing out, that we had booked for 4 overnight guests.||Later in the evening we ordered room service over the phone. 45 minutes passed and when room service still wasn't delivered, we went downstairs to the reception and asked if there had been a mistake, but they had simply forgotten to write down our room number, this despite us having asked for it twice over the phone. We had ordered a double shot of 12 year old whisky and a bottle of Cava. They came with a trolley filled with several different types of longdrink glasses, a whole bottle of whisky and the Cava.||The next morning at the breakfast buffet it was not possible to get a table set for 4. The table was empty, it just needed to be cleared and a chair was missing. We waited a while before we finally found a chair ourselves and cleared the table. It was impossible to get a caffè latte, which we ordered several times, as the waiter kept forgetting about us. There were many waiters present and the restaurant was also quite full, but they lacked coordination and cooperation. You actually got a little stressed out about the service there was - or lack thereof, because they were running around aimlessly. They had no sense of clearing the table of used service. No one made sure to refill the hot buffet despite it being 9 o'clock.||The whole day was spent sightseeing in beautiful Warsaw. Late in the afternoon, when we got back to the hotel, all the used service from the night before, were still in the room (we didn't have the "do not disturb" sign up). The beds were made and there were fresh towels, but the separate living room was by no means cleaned. Everything was untouched from the night before. When we got home from dinner out in the city later in the evening, we cleared the table ourselves and rolled the trolley out into the hallway in front of the door. From here, the table was first removed the next morning.||Throughout our 2-night stay, it seemed as if the majority of the staff were not trained. The hotel definitely did not live up...
Read moreOne of the worst hotel I have ever been. If there is a negative mark I can give, I will have no hesitation to give it. I have real difficulty in understanding why would it be a five star hotel. Be that as it may, the hotel was not able to deliver the room that is the same as the pictures shown. None of the pictures as shown is the same as the room that I was given. The Hotel was trying to explain that they are of the same type, but in fact, the room was small and with only one window beside the bed, far from being of the same type. The reason given was wholly unconvincing. It goes without saying that whenever you offer good or services, you’ll give out what you have shown to the potential purchaser. Worse still, hours were spent on sorting out this issue with the Hotel, but was completely in vain. It was a complete waste of time. Also, there is some issue with the manner of its staff. I’m not sure if it is because we are Asians, whenever the staff talked to us, they were in such a poker face. I say so because I observed that whenever the staff talked to the western people, they were far more energetic and passionate. Such a contrast existed before I even spoke to the staff so I can eliminate the possibility that it was our interaction that caused the problem. In addition, I stayed for more than one night and I sorted the things in the room to clean up the space for work. However, the next day when I came back to the room, the staff put back everything to the original position, so that I have to do exactly the same thing again, wasting my time in such housekeeping matter. In short, I will never go to this hotel again. I would unreservedly recommend all my friends and relatives not to go to this hotel as well. There are way better options in the city with...
