My husband and I went here for lunch and ordered one of the daily specials: meat pierogi and red barszcz. My husband is Polish and I have eaten quite a bit of Polish food, including many different meat pierogi from many different places. The meat was raw in half of the pierogi we were served here. It was pink and tasted raw. When we brought it to the waitress's attention, she was polite, took it to the kitchen, told us we would not be charged and brought us the menu so we could order something else if we wished. At that point, neither of us had much desire to try anything else at the restaurant so we finished our beers but didn't order anything else to eat. The waitress came back to us about 15 minutes later and said she was sorry but the manager demanded that we pay for the pierogi. At this point my husband went inside to talk to the manager and I stayed outside. He did not get any positive response from the manager, who argued with him about the situation until my husband finally just paid and we left. It was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is a health hazard to eat raw ground meat and their...
Read moreI went here tonight and was extremely disappointed with the food and whole experience. The restaurant is meant to serve Jewish food, but also serves pork. One person has a Greek salad which came with no dressing or feta. We asked where the feta and were given grated cheese. The grilled chicken was not grilled and was also dry. The pierogi were tasteless. Steak was served raw and no sauce was offered. Initially only sweet chilli was given but then ketchup. Food was bland and tasted like it had been warmed from frozen. Literally the worst food I have eaten. You have to pay for the toilet on top of your bill. We paid for the food and the waiter kept all the change assuming it was a very large tip..we had to ask the waiter to return the change. Would recommend avoiding. Food is dreadful slop, staff are rude. I would avoid I understand management has...
Read moreFood is fine but even one star is too much for the inexistent service-it is a true catastrophe, we waited 1.5 hrs for food and out of it almost an hour to place an order (note: this is a late Sunday afternoon, not lunch time even) and only can be indicated as an example how not to do it and it's a shame that such is known but premise not reacting in any way. A waiter only able to do one task at a time, running of course as a consequence back and forth uselessly- I worked myself in service...a 10year old is better able to do more complex tasks than what you can witness here. While we were here we saw personally two other desks complaining towards staff on speed and inexistence of service. Effect? Hardly any. As soon as this place gets a different cook they have to become...
