My wife and I came here for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were quite disappointed by both food and service. There was only one person running the whole restaurant...both service and kitchen. Suffice it to say, took us well over an hour to get our main dishes and 40 min to get our appetizer. Once the pasta dishes we ordered did arrive we were supprised and disappointed by the quality. You can see it in some of the reviews (photos), but the pasta is store bought, and the sauces are quite mediocre. My wife had the carbonara and it just tasted of cream. I don't blame the guy as he was alone, but at that point just close the place for the night. All in all, put a sour note in our mouth for the night and kind of ruined our special...
Read moreDo not eat here. At first I ordered drinks which didn't show. I had to ask for these after 10 minutes. This would be fine if there wasn't just me and my mother in the restaurant. I had to return the tomato soup as it was cold. To be fair once returned this was nice. The bruchetta was rubbish. The mains arrived and the gnocchi was again cold and disgusting. The pasta was spaghetti with no sauce or cheese with a slice of bacon on the top which was also cold. The restaurant is nice inside but the food was shocking. I don't like writing bad reviews but was annoyed at how bad the food was. We ended up visiting an Italian around 100 metres down the road. Do not eat here. Maybe the usual chef might not have been working but it's not hard to at least...
Read moreSmall place with around 8 tables. Nothing fancy, quite rustic but that's the Italian charm. Friendly waitress and great tasting (presumably wood fired or stone baked) pizza that for being on the New Town Square is amazing value. Drink prices very reasonable especially for lager and house wines for a restaurant. Would highly recommend for pizza - we didn't try any pasta on our visit but I'd imagine it would be tasty...
