I booked a one bedroom apartment with mountain view and breakfast.
1- The rooom. The room is spacious I can't complain about that. The rooms look new and furniture seems to be in good condition. But there was absolutely new view to anything but the buildings across the street.
For an apartment it was missing some random items like the cutting board and their was an uneven number of cooking and silverware.
The curtains in my room were half hanging off the rails and house keeping kleed the room everyday and did nothing about it until we called and complained about it.
The bathroom was cleaned and they to my surprise cleaned the sink with the same brush they used to clean the toilet. No suprise this left brown stains all in the sink around the drain and it goes without saying the sink reeked afterwards. I seriously ask myself is this being done in every room in the hotel? Or is it only my room?
2- the restaurant We took breakfast included in the stay and I can say that the food is nothing to write home about. In other words it was not special and not worth the 100 zlt per person. In all fairness they did serve a small assortment of traditional regional polish breakfast. But it's not comprerable to the same items what you can have outside for much less and very near by.
3- staff
In general, the staff seem to be highschool students not enjoying their summer job. They are young and most don't seem to know what they are doing.
Let me share a couple of examples:
-We asked the receptionist where we could find an ATM machines she responded in a very confused face "what's that?" We explained nicely what an ATM machine is and she simply said "I don't know what that is I'm not from here." She continued "outside in the city maybe" later to our suprise we found an ATM machine in the lobby.
-at the restaurant during breakfast it was full of people and most the tables we full or still had dishes on the table from the previous guests. We found a table and we asked one of the waiters if they could take the dishes so that we can sit. For some reason, this young woman found it appropriate to look us in the face with a smile and say "no I can't" as in a joke. It's no harm done as a joke but in no way is it professional do "joke" this way with the guest. Especially for the expected service for the money that was paid.
-we called the reception wanting to ask if it was possible to speak with a manager or someone in charge. The receptionist simply said "she isn't in now, what do you want from her?" We simple said we want to have a few minutes of her time to speak about the service. she then said "I'll check and let you know when she is her" we waited for her to call back and when she did, she simply said "tomorrow she will be her during the day. Ok, fair enough we would like to have a meeting with her when exactly will she be during the day available. To our shock she HUNG UP THE PHONE.
On check out we asked to speak with the shift manager and we waited around 40 minutes. With the promise every 5 minutes that the manager will be with us in 10 minutes. (Hence why we called in advance the night before to take an appointment with the manager for the next day)
We finally spoke with a manager after the long wait whom to be fair was nice and listened to what we had to stay about our stay, but honestly the reaction was quite disappointing as we was only offered an apologie and a business card to contact when with a promise for the best service with best price on our next stay in the hotel.
Won't be staying here again.
In conclusion, for the price you pay, it simply isn't worth it. They seriously need to do something...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed with my recent stay at Radisson Blu Kraków. From the very beginning, the experience fell far below what one would expect from a five-star hotel.
At check-in, we were assisted by a staff member named Simon, whose attitude was unwelcoming, aggressive, and outright rude. We had booked three rooms and simply asked to be placed on the same floor. As a family of six women traveling with teenagers, children, and an elderly member in a wheelchair, this was a reasonable request. Instead of addressing it with courtesy or at least making an effort to accommodate us Simon reacted with hostility. A well-trained front desk representative should never treat guests in such a manner.
After a six-hour flight and a two-and-a-half-hour drive from the airport, we were shocked to be greeted with no welcome, no assistance at the door, and such poor service at the front desk. Sadly, this was only the beginning.
When we asked for help with our luggage, Simon informed us there was no one available to assist that day, effectively telling us to manage on our own. This is unacceptable at a five-star property, especially when traveling with young children and an elderly guest in a wheelchair. In the end, our driver who is not employed by the hotel was the one who helped carry our bags to the rooms. That alone speaks volumes about the lack of service.
The rooms themselves were another disappointment: not properly cleaned, missing essentials, and nowhere near the standard of Radisson Blu hotels worldwide. To make matters worse, even at checkout there was no staff member available to help us with luggage down to the ground floor.
This level of neglect and lack of professionalism does not reflect the Radisson Blu brand I am familiar with. Hospitality begins with respect, empathy, and care none of which were present during our stay. If I could rate below one star, I would. Unfortunately, this experience has convinced me never to return to this property, and I strongly caution other travelers against...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI liked the price-quality ratio. We celebrated sisters wedding anniversary and my sister's birthday. We received a compliment and upgraded our room category. We are grateful for that. Therefore, I do not reduce the rating below for a terrible dinner. The friendly staff and the SPA made our experience a bit better. But - about everything in details.
On the plus side: the spa complex is quite small, but cozy. The swimming pool is comfortable, the jacuzzi is warm, the sauna is average in size, but this is enough, at least in the low season.
Cons: Unfortunately, the hammam is completely non-functional - it is barely warm. There is water everywhere on the floor of the complex and it is very dangerous, although such an invention as a mop and cleaning would solve this problem.
Overall, for the money, it was a very nice weekend.
But there are two things we would like to draw the attention of the administration: The children's space is very dangerous next to the glass open stairs. Food - breakfast was delicious, with a nice selection, with a local corner, sparkling, waffles, although without salmon) But! I barely persuaded myself to put 4, not 3,2,1, in gratitude for a different experience - and I can't help but draw the attention of the administration to what a terrible restaurant A la Card is. We couldn't leave the hotel to eat at Krupuvky because it was cold and we were with a baby, but if you can do it - don't eat there! For the first time in my life, I ate butter with pasta, not pasta with butter. Tasteless, long, we paid 300 zl for 3 burgers and pasta. It was very bad. Not everyone could eat the potatoes that came with the burgers. At the same time, we did not eat all day and have o gym-time in the pool - we could not finish our meals, it was so badš¢
All other experience - we can recommend for a family...
