Borda d'Água, Praia da Oura — Hotel in Albufeira

Stayed here last week. Accommodation was ok, but the service at the end of our stay was just terrible! The reception through out the whole week was hit or miss as to whether it was open or shut. On our last day, we had a late departure and was being picked up at 7 pm to get our plane, so we needed to put our suitcases in the locked up luggage room, as we were doing a final excursion. We asked the guy on reception what time he was closing and he said 7pm, so we said we would have dinner and come back at 6.45pm to collect our luggage, when we came back, at 6.40pm it was all locked up and we had no way, unless we smashed the door in to get our suitcases. As you can imagine, we were frantic, and our transfer was arriving at 7pm. Luckily, my husband ran around the local shops, and they found another owner of other apartments located in that building that had a key to the luggage room. Without him, we would not have got our bags back. The telephone numbers on the door of the reception go to other apartment owners, and they told us that he had done this before, and they had other people ringing them frantically the same. They have told us his name is Toze. We have opened a complaint with booking.com who is the company we used to book the accommodation. This is the first time I have ever complained about a holiday, but I was so stressed when we came back to find he had literally left us stranded with out our luggage that I felt other holiday makers need to know what happened to us, hopefully booking .com can make sure it doesn't...

Appartementen, binnen een hotel. Eigen plaats in de garage voor onze huurauto. Ruim appartement met alles erop en eraan. Helaas hebben wij gezocht naar een goed WiFi netwerk. Maar na minstens een half uur proberen en hulp van de vriendelijke host, het goede netwerk niet te vinden. Dit was dan ook echt het enige minpunt, wat we konden vinden. Voor de rest, slaapkamer voor 2. Genoeg handdoeken, grote klerenkast, 2 banken, airco, magnetron, wasmachine, tooster en een tafel voor 4. Met achter nog een ruime plaats om te zonnen voor 4 a 5 personen. Dan kun je je dus wel voorstellen, dat wij met 2 personen, wel heel erg veel ruimte hadden. Superplaats. Trap naar beneden restaurantjes. Onthoud hoe korter bij het strand, hoe hoger de prijzen. 150 mtr lopen en je bent op het zandstrand. Op het middenterrein onze eigen supermarkt en onze reisadviseur, waar we met plezier, onze activiteiten, dagtripjes hebben geboekt. En dan nog de dagelijkse mentale beproeving. Heuveltje op. In het midden een attractie, met vrije val. En boven op de heuvel, de strip. 2 a 3 straten met alleen maar barretjes, restaurants en heel veel Engels sprekend volk. Dus we zaten eigenlijk perfect. Bad apartments, sofa broken, stained, impossible to sleep, had to remove mattress and sleep on floor, door handles broken, at one point it was impossible to open door, dryer broken, terrace all dirty, air conditioner almost didn't work, chairs stained, pool dirty, I highly do not recommend, for the same price you will only find a better apartment.
