Restaurante Tamariz — Restaurant in Albufeira

Absolutely horrific service. Staff were incredibly rude even though we were the only table in the entire restaurant. My friend asked for no chips with her omelet and our server scoffed in her face and wouldn’t accommodate this request. My friends ordered water for the table and I had my own bottle. I said I didn’t want any drinks and that I had my own water and he rudely said I must drink the water that was served to us in the restaurant and nothing else while glaring at me. When my friends joined us and asked for a glass of water he said “you already have water” in an extremely arrogant and ignorant tone and walked away. When paying for my food, another member of staff was taking our payments and I paid for an omelet but didn’t mention the additional mushroom I added to it. He called me back over and asked if I had the additional mushroom in the omelet to which I replied yes. He abruptly responded “you didn’t tell me that” while giving me a dirty look. I didn’t think it would have been much of an issue considering we were the only table in the restaurant and would have been an easy fix. When it came to the last person to pay he rolled his eyes and said “I suppose you’re paying for the water since no one else will”. Location is really good, cant complain at all. service was fine, nothing special the guys just did his job, no extra love being put.

BUT! the Cod fish is horrendous, 3 of us ate that and 30 percent of it were pure fat from the belly part, and bones everywhere. tasted like its been smoked or has too much smoke exposure but we were not told that. overcooked and it tasted like its been in the fridge for more than 3 days, i felt it was safe to eat that.

Seabass was good, but again too much smoke exposure the only reason why its not 1 star. Tuna is black and doesnt look good, dry and unappatezing. Mackerel was fine but nothing to write home about.

Very rude staff and very condensing, me and my friend ordered grilled chicken with pepper sauce, assuming we’d a nice meal. very very wrong. the chicken came and it was as if they had just hacked into the bones and given us scraps, barely any meat on it and when i went to say this, one of the staff was extremely rude saying there was meat on there and this is how it is served, taking the chicken from my plate and scraping the smallest part of chicken off a bit of skin. not a single offer to change or add any more meat just a very rude interaction. even some of the pieces of chicken were just bone and skin. complete and utter waste of money. in the picture prided on the plate was the only salvageable and edible...
