Isoleta — Restaurant in Almada

Went in with some friends for lunch, the restaurant was packed and they shoved us in a super small and tight seat, almost on top of other clients. We requested cozido à portuguesa thinking that, since it was a dish of the day, it would come fast. Took 50 minutes for it to reach. Was not fresh cooked on the day as it was LEFTOVERS food from other day. Came with a lot of pork ear, knuckles, potato and cabbage, but barely no chouriço, moita, farimheira, chouriço de sangue, AND no beef meat AT ALL... Very disappointed, I...

If you're looking for a traditional portuguese restaurant in Costa da Caparica, Isoleta is one (few) of them... A location where you'll discover the perfect mix between a family-run place, where good, honest food and a local atmosphere mix perfectly 😉 a big plus is the daily menu, and incredibly-generous half-portions (get a full-size portion only if werewolf-with-friends kinda'hungry)... and for the local'est touch :), don't forget to wet all this with a 'jarro do pressão', frizzly...

Happy to experience a restaurant that feels truly homy, with super nice food, fish and meat, and some cool desserts. We had a small puppy with us as a guest and they not only let us bring her in with us, but they also gave her some treats and water to go with the wonderful welcoming pet service.
