The place looks nice. The food is good enough for the price.the pork is pretty good.but the olives, bread, cheese that they give you when you sit directly isn't free. Olives are old and dried out, luckily we sent it away. We ate the all the 3 pieces of bread and partly the cheese. The cheese isn't beter then then Dutch cheese, but we tried it. At the end you still need to pay for the appetizers that we ate, thats fair. Its unclear if its a complimentary or pay. They dont tell it, even the English is good enough from staff and our English is also good enough. So if you eat here and dont want to pay for the things that they (force) offers . Reject the items you don't want to eat as a appetizers. I have been to way more expensive restaurants then this and they don't give you or trick the appetizers on guest this way. So maybe its a quick extra cash grap for them. Not sure if its genuine hospitality or just for cash. We dont look like portogees people, so why would you give us directly a portogees menucard? The female waitresses is kind, but the male waiter is very quickly irritated when asking about the bill specifics. Because the bill is totally...

We asked for a table for two in a nearly empty restaurant, but were placed at a cramped table tucked behind a wall — despite the place having an open patio with beach views and plenty of better seating available.
I politely asked if we could sit outside or near the window, but was told no, because those tables were "for four people" — even though other couples were seated at them without issue. Moments later, a server came over and literally threw the (not complimentary) appetizers on the table, then walked away with visible attitude.
When another server passed by, I tried to ask a question about the menu. He looked right at me — then just kept walking.
The entire staff acted like they were doing us a favor by letting us be there. A quick look at other reviews shows we’re far from the only ones to have this kind of experience.
We left and went across the street to Nosso Prego — night and day difference. Much better atmosphere, friendly staff, and a way better...
Read moreWould've loved to dine here. Unfortunately service was not great to start. We were seated behind a wall. My partner asked if we could be seated outside, they said no/there's no space but in a shrugging way. He then asked if we could be seated somewhere that's more centered in the restaurant among other diners and they just shrugged/barely responded (my partner speaks portuguese).
I was dressed in a bikini top and they eventually asked me to cover up, which is no problem at all. I think that's why they wanted to hide us (other than the fact I'm also of chinese decent but I won't make speculations), but they could've let me know at the beginning they have a dress code even before we were seated, but didn't. It was only later on that a waiter came up and gestured I need to cover up.
Because of these experiences, I can't recommend this restaurant which is a shame as food...
