Located on the edge of the historic centre, ten minutes from the present location of the bus station, quiet residential area.||Access codes released by email on morning of day of arrival. ||Looked like the photographs. Clean. Daily cleaning took place most days.||Wifi, kettle, fridge, hot water worked.||Kitchenette (also had hotplate and microwave) was quite cramped and awkward to use. I could have done with cafetière or coffee filter, bread knife, chopping board, scissors. If you are planning proper cooking you might wish to check what is provided by way of kit and consumables.||No safe. Desk area had no light.||Maximum temperature of heating was fixed and it could only be turned on for an hour at a time, so on the coldest days it did not get that warm. Very disappointed with this accomodation. I was planning to travel to Leiria last December and booked to stay here (I booked direct with the hotel website), however my plans changed and I had to cancel my booking. I was assured I would be refunded the full amount. I have since had numerous emails back and forth - they have been very slow to reply each time and still haven’t paid me back despite me sending through my transfer details multiple times and being told they were working on it! I’m very disappointed that I still haven’t been refunded and I would caution other travellers to not book direct with this hotel and instead consider booking with a third party or not...

What a well run guest house. Electronic check in was a breeze. The building is well maintained, extremely clean and located close to a grocery store and the centre of town. The rooms are nicely appointed and well laid out. The stairs to the loft were a little narrow but not difficult to navigate. Mariana happened to be on the property when we arrived and was very pleasant. Breakfast arrived at the door early and was delicious.
