Vista Bistrô & Restaurante — Restaurant in Leiria

Someone recommended this restaurant and I popped over for dinner. Do call them and book a table as it did get very busy and by the end of my meal, the restaurant was full and no tables left. The decor inside is warm, cosy and romantic. The furniture, chairs and tables are modern, stylish and comfortable. The reason it's called Vista is due to it's riverside location. Even though it was a rainy night, one could still here the river flowing strongly outside..! My Asian perfectly cooked and presented Tuna dish from the 'fish' menu selection was probably one of the best I've ever had, wow. For dessert I opted for their "very thinly sliced/mandolined" Fruit Salad (whatever fruit they got from the local areas) and this was...strawberries, pineapple, mango. Deliciously fresh and perfect to end my dinner session with! Well done to the two Chefs who apparently are the owners as well...good combination no doubt! Finally, a big Thank You and Shout Out to: LUIS and KATIA for an excellent service, warm friendly welcome and attitude and always served with a big smile is such a rare experience nowadays..well done!! Highly recommend...

The house special of veal filet, mushrooms and sweet potatoe fries was superb. The sauce prepared with the super tender 2inch veal was fantastic. Gave the veal excellent flavors and did not resemble a typical beef / veal filet. The balance of garlic and fresh Tyme gave the sauce the stand out flavor that does not get old through the meal. The fresh mushrooms with butter, garlic, and healthy size of onions overlayed with a nondescript melted cheese did not surrender through the meal as well. De visita a Leiria para um casamento no dia seguinte, procurávamos um restaurante onde jantar no dia anterior e aproveitar para celebrar um aniversário. A escolha acabou por ser o Vista, não só pela sua localização central, mas pelo bom aspeto dos pratos. E se foi uma boa escolha!... Fomos recebidos com simpatia e encaminhados para uma ótima mesa, mesmo ao lado da janela. Sentimo-nos em casa, um ambiente agradável e um espaço realmente bem decorado, mas o melhor ainda estaria para vir. Para entradas, o Tártaro de Atum e o Carpaccio de Novilho, ambos divinais. Não conseguimos apontar um defeito. Para prato principal optei pela Sugestão do Chef, um Risotto com Espargos, lombo de Bacalhau Fresco e Camarão, que ainda hoje fico com água na boca só de me lembrar. Que coisa mais perfeita! Risotto mais saboroso que comi até hoje, equilíbrio de sabores exímio, lombo de bacalhau com uma qualidade imensa. Tiveram a amabilidade de colocar uma vela numa das sobremesas para cantarmos os Parabéns, um New York Cheesecake (não tenho a certeza se estou a inventar o nome, se estou, perdoem-me :p) e outra sobremesa com mirtilos que não me lembro mesmo do nome, só sei que era tudo fantástico! Cereja no topo do bolo, um atendimento 10* com pessoas genuínas que tornaram a nossa noite inesquecível. Ainda deu para um bocadinho de conversa no final da noite e darmos os parabéns ao Chef, que terá com certeza um futuro brilhante pela frente. Saímos felizes e de sorriso no rosto, com uma vontade enorme de voltar! :) Obrigada por tudo...
