Quite a great stay here. It's a pretty good location- there is a metro station literally right at the front door. You don't even have to cross the street! For that alone, it's worth staying here. The hotel is quite nice. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Helpful staff. Breakfast was always good. For the price, this is a fine place to stay in Lisbon. Parking was 10 euro per day, which adds up if you have a vehicle. but I think by booking directly through them you can get this waved. You can park on the street for free on weekends only. Though it was nice some things were missing that I like. For example, the towels were pretty old and scratchy. I just really hate that. The hotel is fairly close to the airport, so even with windows closed you will hear a lot of air traffic, especially if your room faces the airport. Besides those few things, I would definitely recommend staying here. There's a perfect little spot out front for your ride shares to pick you up and drop you off. Tea available in the lobby in the evening. Breakfast is tasty, but get there early because it's not a huge dining area and it fills up quickly.

I stayed here 4 nights. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Every day before I went to bed, I check with the staff what they recommended me to see (always verify with the locals). They took the time to explane the sightseeings. At the reception they were very helpfull with showing me (on the map) how to get there by public transportation. I had lunch and 2 times dinner. Each time it tasted better then the las time. It was really good. There is a metrostop very close to the hotel, which is a big plus. Yes. The planes come fly low above the hotel. That might be a slight issue for some people, but it didn't bother me at all. I think its because they made the hotel soundproof. I want to name 2 persons by name. Filipe for the chats about sports. (Football mostly) Ana for giving me a spontaneus lesson Portugese, which I really liked. Obrigado to the hotel team and a big obrigado to Ana & Philipe.

A genuine people hotel with very good value for money. Mostly young staff that all are very lovely and professional. On the backoffice side, very experienced cleaning and tecnical staff, warmest thanks for helping out fast and for taking care of our rooms so well. Two other main pluses are perfect location and that they were constructing a new outside terrace that will further improve the already gentle ambience. Muchisimas gracias de La Familia Ramirez Pasillas Flores Lundberg de Mexico y Suecia❣️

The GPS sends Uber drivers to the back of the hotel -- so be warned. The restaurant was surprisingly good for dinner. However, the trouble really started once I checked in. I was on business, so I needed to look smart. The room did not have an iron (this is a four star hotel). I called the front desk and they don't have any irons for guests. They offered that I could use the one day laundry service to get my shirts cleaned and pressed. Not much good for the next morning. Then I decided to read a book while in bed. The bedside light was extremely dim so that reading was not possible. However, it turned out that a previous occupant of the room had removed enough hardware so that the lamp shade could be removed, thereby letting the light shine forth (and so I could read). In the morning, I found that the shower valve is one of those that moves from extreme cold to extreme heat with the slightest touch. No hair conditioner (only shampoo, shower gel and body lotion) provided.

At breakfast, another member of our group revealed that there was a bright light outside their room and the curtains did not block the light. It seems that the blackout curtains were missing.

The coup de grace was that one of our group was bitten by bed bugs. The hotel did reveal that their room had had an infestation of bed bugs two weeks earlier, but they had cleared it up?? Two days later, in another room, on another floor, another member of our group was bitten by bed bugs.

In short, I'm not going to be staying...

They lost the room reservation despite having email confirmation. The AC was broken in the room so we had to move. In the new room the AC cover fell off and almost hit me in the head. The pillows are terrible. Also, the restaurant waiter for breakfast is very rude. There were other things but this hotel is not 4 stars. Dont stay here.

Edit to their response: I booked through their corporate website with a conference code so their reply about me using some other platform is incorrect (shocker that they are incorrect again!). Additionally, I called soon after making the reservation to confirm the bed situation and the first person I spoke to seemed to have trouble finding the reservation and got a colleague who spoke better english. That guy then confirmed the bed situation so I assumed I was all set and the issue was simply a language issue. That was clearly another opportunity for them to be proactive and say "hey, this guy is calling, but we can't find the reservation so I should figure this out." But no, the guy on the phone confirmed my room assignment without looking at the reservation.

Also, the beds are terribly hard. They let us run out of toilet paper. One of their elevators was also broken down and out of service for part of the visit. The list goes on and on with issues here. And this was the consensus of the conference attendees I talked...

Great customer obsession and hospitality

With 55 people we had a 3 days (2nights) business offsite at Hotel Açores and are extremely satisfied. The communication with Rita from Hotel Açores was very smooth and fast. All questions were answered quickly and Rita anticipated our needs.

The hotel itself is better than many reviews say. The bar / restaurant area is renovated, nice and welcoming. The breakfast was great, had a good variety and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Only the coffee can be improved. The coffee machine in the breakfast area and in front of the meeting room is actually terrible and not meeting Portuguese standards. Some of us went to a small café down the street for a proper espresso.

The rooms are good and spacious. When windows are closed you can’t hear the airplanes which are flying low. I slept very well both nights and didn’t receive any complaints from our group of 55 people.

The location is not in the city centre, but the metro is literally in front of the hotel and taxis are cheap.

All in all we can would book it again and can recommend it. Special thanks to Rita from Hotel Açores. She demonstrated great customer obsession, was always available and willing to help. She anticipated our needs so that we were overall very satisfied and everything went...
