Lisbon Colours is NOT a regular hotel, it is a collection of apartments in two adjacent old town buildings in Bairro Alto, smack down in the middle if the party/nightlife area of Lisbon. One building has a lift that services only some of the levels, so be prepared to shuffle up and down small steep staircases. Here is a brief overview of the experience (at 200€/night for one person): Downsides: - sparse breakfast, unreliable delivery - one coffee pad/one tea bag per person per day, everything else charged extra as consumption of the mini bar - extremely smelly apartments from both aggressive air fresheners and damp walls - ZERO insulation against noise indoors from neighbours - highly questionable practice of collecting a 250 Euro deposit in cash or taking down ALL credit card info (incl. security code...!!!), none of which was made transparent upon booking - air conditioning filters were filthy - TV remote control filthy - bed were not equipped with sufficient bed linens to meet normal standards (sleeping directly under the comforter, nothing in between) - lumpy mattress Upsides: - very good double glazing facing the crazy busy and noisy party area outside, you could barely hear the outside! - excellent water pressure & spacious bathroom (true for appt. 15 and 17) - rooftop terrace - kitchen sufficiently equipped for cooking simple dishes - dishwasher (5 tabs included) - location is good for all those who are there for a wild party (otherwise not so much) - wide selection of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity (but neither authentic nor frequented by locals!)

Good location, but overall would not recommend this hotel. Please be aware that the rooms are in 2 buildings next to each other. The main building has an elevator and then connects via walkway at the top floor to the second building. The walkway is closed at 11pm, so on the ground floor, the second building has its own after-hours entrance with only stairs. Pros: * Comfy bed * Functioning AC, thankfully!!! Cons: * No toiletries, only hand soap dispenser in the shower. Had to find a market open late to get proper shampoo and conditioner. * Limited towels - was given one large and one small per person, told they were “out of towels” despite my room accommodating 3 people * Creaky floors, was woken up by upstairs neighbors walking multiple times late night and early morning * Fragrance dispenser to cover odd smell in restroom, but it irritated my allergies so I moved them to the outside balcony during my stay * Dim bathroom light and no portable/magnification mirror, which made it tough to do make up * Confusing snack bar for purchase within room (coffee pod is provided with free breakfast, but there are additional pods that can be purchased along with a variety of other snacks/beverages, and some snacks are free) * Had the “do not disturb” sign on the door while trying to nap one afternoon, but workers outside in stairwell talking very loudly

Lisbon Colors hotel, although offering spacious and comfortable rooms, falls short in terms of cleanliness and amenities. The bedsheets in the rooms do not fit properly and the bedside tables are covered in dust, leading to a subpar experience. The bathroom in particular is a major issue, with a strong odor reminiscent of sewage that makes it almost unusable. Room number 1, in particular, should be avoided. The breakfast offered at the hotel is also lacking, consisting of only basic supermarket items and unappetizing bread. In conclusion, while Lisbon Colors offers comfortable rooms, the lack of attention to detail and poor cleanliness make it a disappointing choice for travelers. However, depending on the price, you may still put up with it, and for a small stay, it should be fine.

Just got back from a long weekend and my 2nd visit to Lisbon. For this trip we were fortunate enough to find a room at the wonderful Lisbon Colours Hotel. Myself and a friend rented a 2 bedroom apartment (22) which was located on the 2nd floor. The apartment was fantastic! There was a small balcony off of each bedroom with garden views of the lemon trees and a larger balcony off the main living room with a lovely view up and down both ends of the street and into the church square. The apartment was really well equipped with everything we could possibly need for our break. The kitchen was ultra modern with a full size fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and kitchenware. The lounge was comfy with a large sofa, dining table and chairs. There was also a good sized flatsceen TV. WI-FI was included in the price and was super fast and reliable. The 2 bedrooms were well equipped with comfy beds and pillows, fitted wardrobes and a safe in each room. The bathroom has a full bath, twin sinks and toiletries supplied. There are shutters over all the windows so you can block out the morning sunrise for some extra sleep and there is a full sized ironing board and iron in the room too. The decor in the apartment is very tasteful and really feels like a home from home. Breakfast is included and is delivered to your door at 8am. It includes fresh bread, fruit, yoghurt, spreads, brioche, fruit juice, milk, tea bags and coffee pods as well as a selection of fresh meats and cheese. Having it delivered to the room was a nice touch and meant you could enjoy it at your own pace whilst making the most of the views from the apartment. If you enjoy people watching, the apartment is situated in a lively neighborhood and the balcony offers a prime spot to watch the world go by. When it's time for bed, simply close the double glazed balcony doors, shut the shutters and you won't hear another sound. Reception is open 24/7 and there is a secure key card entry system in operation. If you check out early but have a later flight home, there is a free (secure) luggage storage area in reception. If you fancy a drink whilst taking in breathing views of the city, there is a well furnished rooftop terrace available to patrons on the roof of the main building. This can be accessed by the lift in main reception and is open daily from 11am - 11pm. There is space on the roof for around 20 people. Getting to the Time Out market is around a 15 minute walk and is all downhill although this can take significantly longer due to the amount of interesting sights you'll find along the way - So much choice of cafés, bars and restaurants that you may never even make it to the main 'strip'. If you don't want to walk, a Bolt (taxi) will take you from the apartment to Cais do Sodre for just over €3. A Bolt from the apartment to the airport is less than €8. There are also plenty of buses and trams nearby as well as a few funicular railways so getting to and from the apartment couldn't be easier. All in all I'd say this is one of the best places to stay for it's proximity to everything and the quality the accommodation offers. I will be making another booking as soon...

For some reason the owners were not happy with the truth and flagged this but it's crazy how this is my real experience. I have receipts to prove this

The only thing that is positive is the MAYBE the location as it's close to many areas. But this is where it all goes downhill.

There are TWO building as part of this "hotel" with one building with an elevator and what sounds like nice accommodations. I was in the OLDER building with NO elevator and had to lug everything up multiple narrow steps with a very delayed light hallway sensor.

The unit I was on had both bedrooms facing a very loud street with zero noise reduction. 3 night in a row with LOUD screaming unit pass 3am including Monday and Tuesday. Earplugs do not work at all. In fact I'm typing this up at 2:40 am as this party of at least 10 decided singing at the top of their drunk lungs is the best thing to do. It's there no noise ordinance?

We had to retreat to the living room to sleep on the couch and we can still hear the screaming!

Breakfast is exactly the same each day. No variation or ability to make custom orders. It's ham, cheese, salami, 2 types of bread, yogurt, milk, mango juice and tons of different jams. Also not sure why we only get 3 bottles of water for 4 people. We also had to sign something saying we can't have any extra guest or we pay and extra 40 per person per day.

If you need a place to crash at night this is NOT your place. If you are a night owl who only sleeps after 4am in a super stuffy (lack of airflow) and don't mind endless stairs, this is your place.

I can't WAIT to leave this place in the morning. Hopefully someone will be at the counter cuz no one was there when we checked in. Had to call multiple times to get...
