Where do I start.. The restaurant was empty, but we decided to try it as it was a Sunday evening and very quiet everywhere, reassured by the 4 on Google. Before we even ordered I spotted a small coackroach crawling down the wall...but we decided to.ignore it for politeness and embarrassment, and because we were starving. The Bead came with a platter of butter and a mini cheese, all wrapped in cling film...wich we kindly declined. Then We shared one main as starter (which was tasty and filling), and chosed the two cod based mains on the " food of the day" board. When they arrived My baked cod was sizzling on the outside and frozen inside! I told the waitress and she also could see.it. so she took it back and after a while she brought it back re-heated, but was still raw inside, salty and stiff! Floating in oil! My partner dish was supposed to be another Portuguese typical dish of cod with cream and potato, and it was a warm.mess of fish, stick chips and uncooked cream and loads of cinnamon, we finished it because it was just edible and we were starting, but it wasn't pleasant and for 13 euro was a joke. We paid and left, the waitresses apologised ...but apologies can't fix such bad experiences. Do...

I went there with 2 of my friends on Friday evening as soon as they opened. We were the only customer there at that time and it was very nice because we could start our meal in peace. We told the lady that she can bring us what ever portuguese people would eat and she can decide what we will have. It was definitely the right choise. We ate shrimps, swordfish, octopus and pork cheeks. Shrimps and octopus were absolutely delicious, the best I have ever tasted. You could taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The pork cheeks were also super tasty and were a perfect match with the seafood because it was on the other end of your taste pallette. Clearly very well thought from the lady. The wines were also chosen by the lady and they complemented the food perfectly. A pretty much perfect dinner with excellent customer service. The atmosphere was very cozy and peaceful. I highly recommend this place and would love to go...

amazing! absolutely amazing! portuguese food. started with prawns, bread, and olives. we got a bottle conde arrolios to enjoy. this restaurant is portuguese run with one server and one chef so come to relax and take your time. this food is cooked with love and technique only generations of traditions can provide. It's a family run business. The atmosphere is so homey and lovely. We had the pork cheek and chicken rice for entrees with the port poached apple for dessert with port wine to finish the meal.

What a lovely team here. The food really blew me away. The pork cheek dish and prawn dish were to die for but all the food was amazing i felt like my family cooked for me by the end of the meal. This is very special food you...

On our first visit to Lisbon, we ended up here more or less by accident. My sister was quite tired, but felt attracted by the menu and the proximity to our apartment. I cannot give six stars, but this place deserves it. It is small, cosy and unpretentious, and the food is second to none. The atmosphere is homely, yet professional, a very difficult balance to strike. I really appreciated the way the food was presented, with such a distinctive attention to detail. We spoke English, but I expect French would have been fine too. We are only here for a three day weekend visit, but I already wonder if we might not come back.

Very nice interior, friendly staff, delicious food and good wine. I had Bacalhau c Natas and it was yummy. This Salted cod dish come in a modern twist, it is a cod fish with fries, onnion mixed into a pie. The fries-potatoes come in julienne form. The dish come with a salad lettuce, carrot and cherry tomatoes. Started was two breada pao with butter, bread coma hot and super fresh. Vinho verde a la casa was a goos choise. It is not expensive compare to quality you get. Be aware this place do not accept a card payment, but ATM is behind the corner. Can only highly recommend this restaurant.
