My connecting flight arrived late to Lisbon and I made it to PDL on the final TAP flight of the night. Pedro stayed up to welcome me and showed me the features of his wonderful property. I shared a double room in the attic. There was a comfortable bed, clean towels and a sizable locking armoire/cabinet for my personal effects.||||The location of the guest house is convenient to downtown Sao Miguel. Diogo runs the booking and concierge services office on the ground floor of the house and was very helpful. I received communication in English prior to my arrival and assistance with local information and tours during my stay.||||Pedro provides a tasty light continental breakfast spread with juice, locally grown tea, local sweet bread, local jams, etc. There is a small kitchen with a refrigerator, stove and everything you need to cook if you so desire.||||The back deck is spacious and looks out toward the center of town. It was sunny when the sun was out and offered some shelter from the rain. There was a washing machine as well so I was able to get my clothes clean. Two bicycles are available for use.||||Overall, this is one of the best run and friendliest places I've ever had the pleasure to visit. There is obvious pride in the operation and a true sense of hospitality.||||I only have two minor complaints - the bicycles needed to be serviced (brakes, tires, cables) and the attic room can get a bit stuffy since there is only a skylight window that opens up (and allows rain in) and no vertical dormer window that could...

He gave us a paper with his suggestions and routes to take. We followed all these, and if you also will, I will asure you that you have the best Sao Miguel experience. It goes from the main attractions, to the hidden places that you just don't want to miss.||He also gives recommendations for restaurants, bars and nightlife. Sadly we didn't try any of the bars and nightlife, but we had an amazing dinner at a restaurant he suggested. This is the host you would like on holidays like this.||||The breakfast is very good. Every night Pedro adds products to the breakfast table, and you can eat whenever you would like to. Coffee, tea, bread with cheese, ham, chicken, jam, special Portugese bread and so go on.||||Also, if you wish to wash your clothes, there is a washing machine availabile!||||We had an amazing stay, and we are 100% sure that we...
Read moreThere is a very nice terrace where you can have breakfast, The house is very close to the city center. The guys that manage the strcture are really nice and they contacted me time in advance in order to help me to rent a car. Everything was super clean and the interior design of the house was really nice, expecially the original wooden and ceramics floor.||||However I have to report some CONS as well: My room had two separated VERY SMALL beds, and being the room directly under the roof, the ceeling was really low.||Breakfast was poor. There was just few packaged snacks an biscuits. Some...
