Short version. Mixed feelings. Service good. Food OKish, trying to be fancy but small portions and not that good quality (except limpets, no go). Not to repeat.
Long version. We ended here by chance. Looks good. Sitting beautiful. Couple next to us same nationality as us. We asked for opinion, they said very good, they were there already second time. Prosecco to start, on the house, and a small bite, very nice. We ordered: Starters limpets. They were really bad. We should have said something but we didn't. They were boring and extremely hard. We ate limpets in a local bar much, much better. Starter prawns. Nice, but 5 small. Main. Fish of the day. Grilled filler good quality. Side: mashed potatoes, tasty, and micro vegetables Main. Ribs. 4 bones. Tasty but limited and too much fat. Side chips, tasty. Decoration of the dishes very beautiful. Service good and profesional, right waiting times, taking care of details. Drink wine of the house, tasty.
2 drinks 2 starters 2 mains 57 euros. We were hungry afterwards.
Conclusion. Fancy place. Service fine. Food bad or medium trying to be fancy. Service all right. Not...
Read moreIf you're there for the wine and starters, you will enjoy. But if you're there for the food, you'll be disappointed. The menu is deceiving. They wrote "salmon in passion fruit sauce and asparagus", when it arrived the salmon was mediocre, there was hardly any passion fruit sauce, but there was ALOT of bland risotto. And 2 tiny shrivelled asparagus. We don't like risotto but weren't aware that the dish contained that because it wasn't on the menu!
We ordered the vegetable kare, the dish came and consisted of mainly fried rice in eggs with small "curry sauce", the curry tasted like supermarket food.
The chef was kind enough to give us more vegetables for the curry (because there was only shredded cabbage on top of the rice).
All in all we feel that the cook doesn't really have the taste for food and cuisine that is rich and deep. It was also...
Read moreThis place was recommended to me by a local (my AirBnB host) and first of all, if you decide to go there, be very patient - waiting time for the food over half hour. Staff is somewhat attentive, even though usually they fulfill multiple outdoor orders at once, so you get served if there's enough other people wanting something. Otherwise the menu is split into two parts - regular (fish, meat, a few local things) and Japanese. House wine is quite strong, easily getting to your head. Weirdest experience was ordering appetizer when waiter insisted I need to order bread together with it, so that I can properly enjoy the sauce. If it goes so well together, why in the world it's not one menu item??? To be able to mark it gluten-free? Indeed, the food was quite nice, however, lots of disturbances to...
