TAJ kitchen — Restaurant in Portimão

If I could give this restaurant a 0/5 I would. My friends and I went in for a drink after a night out, hoping to order some food as well and were initially greeted by a nice man who had told us the beer was €1.50. The owner of the store interrupted him and said it was €10.00 instead. We were really confused and thought he was joking but he was very serious and when we asked why he confirmed it was because we were tourists. Extremely unwelcome and we left immediately. I have been to 30 countries and never have written a review! This place is one of the most tastiest places I've been throughout all of my travels around the globe 🌎. EVERY DAY that I stayed here in Portugal I ate here....sometimes multiple meals a day. I thought I was eating Portugese food but found out it was Indian. I am HOOKED!! Thinking about flying back in 2 weeks just so I can eat at this place. The service, prices and food make this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Definitely give them a try I'm sure...

Every dish had something slightly odd about it, but was edible. The naans were actually paratha (flatbread), the lassis were more like a foamy mango juice with milk, the veg biryani was slightly sour (why?), and the paneer tikka masala was lacking spice and the paneer chunks themselves were very thinly sliced (an odd choice). We were the only ones eating at the restaurant. Was also overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. Would unfortunately...
