The apartment is ok, I think it is not worth what it costs but it is ok. We paid 170 euros for 2 nights in September. The apartment is located about 30 minutes walk from the most touristic bridge (Luis I), the neighborhood has some vagrants in the area, which although they do not cause "big disturbances", they can shout something at you for example at the exit of the supermarket if you do not give them something. On the other hand I think the photos are not as up to date as they should be. The living room area is not the same, the sofa is quite "meh" and some cushions have a closed smell we could say (we try not to use it). In turn, the chair on the terrace, the one that in the photos has armrests, in reality has it quite broken. The bed, which in the photo is on a bed base, in reality is encased in a kind of all-in-one with headboard, that although you win the part of the headboard compared to the photo, makes it difficult to enter and exit as the mattress is pulling soft and sinks in the corners. If we talk about the wooden furniture, most are cracked or the years are quite noticeable, some like the bedroom, have been painted over, without much success. Regarding the building itself, old, not renovated, but sufficient. Typical Portuguese elevator without door, you can see everything as you go up. On the other hand, as I say, the apartment is enough for a couple going to spend a weekend in Porto without many demands. It fulfills everything but does not stand out in anything. The bathroom is renovated and is very good, the terrace gives you that extra space, the electric blinds are a 2x1, first for having them and second for being electric, and finally, the garage is the key to everything because in all of Porto you will have to pay a very expensive parking if you want to leave the car. Oh, I don't want to forget, our host, Volodymyr, was attentive and quick to coordinate the check-in as well as the problem we had with the fridge as we found it with a can of coke burst in the freezer, and with everything stained. He was super helpful and understanding. He gave us all the necessary...
Read moreThe apt is spacious and clean, located in a quiet local area, but easy access to the city centre (old town), the Campanha station and the airport. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom has bathtub which is rare in BnB, there’s also an additional toilet 🚾. Parking is gated in basement, the gate remote control was left by the TV for us.
It is a rare apt that has two spacious bedrooms, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. My partner and I travel with two friends so this is the best option we could find for our holiday in Porto (we notice Porto BnB often comes with a double bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room, only good for a family of 4 travelling with children). The two big sofas in this apt can be dubbed as sofa bed (1 double, 1 single). Highly recommend this place if you are travelling in a group up to 7 people. But only one shower/bathtub will not be enough in the summer heat.
All rooms come with an electric fan, although quite loud but acceptable, or just open the windows, quite cool at night. The outside streets are busy but not main streets, again the noise is acceptable. Generally a very nice and safe neighbourhood.
There’s obvious wear and tear especially in the bathroom and toilet, but acceptable, not as much problem as other guests previously mentioned. The shelves in the double bedroom are also falling, again wear and tear, but I reported it...
