The restaurant is big and feels empty, cold and lacking warmth. There is no view to outside except for a big roof window... The prices are a bit extravagant for the food and service you get. Waiters do not know information about the food served and it seems they do not have a lot of experience or training. The food is average to low quality. We ate the feta cheese salad with pear (this was the only dish that we liked), fish and risotto - the risotto was not runny, but rather stiff in texture - so not creamy at all - the veal was bland and the dessert was practically inedible... We were uncertain of what it was, but pastry was tough and filling was sweet, but not good at all. The house wine was ok, the kids menu costs 12,50€, but the slightly over salty soup was the only dish that could be eaten with gusto. The dry beef and crisps were nothing special, and lastly you have a chocolate ice cream scoop - which our soon dislikes, but there is no other alternative. We have been here before, a very long time ago, but we certainly realised quickly why we haven't returned sooner... This is to be avoided at all cost - a 5€ meal in a caffe will be roughly the same...
Read moreA lovely restaurant that we found by accident when applying for tickets for a concert. This restaurant is on the 7th floor of the Casa da Música and is not to be confused with the café on the ground floor. The meal cost € 20 per person and was three courses and included a glass of wine. The meal was beautifully cooked and the service swift and excellent. The timing is perfect (7:30pm start) for the concert beginning at 9:00pm. By the way, the concert, comprising Mozart piano concerto No 20 and Beethoven piano concerto No 3 received a standing ovation at the finish from a full house (socially distanced every...
Read moreNo doubt one of the best atmospheres in town. The vibrant music scene, the students, the skaters, the bookworms, old ladies with their friends. All crowds gather in this lovely cafe. Featuring both high tables, regular tables and and outside shaded patio, Casa Da Música cafe doesn't offer table service. Regardless the attendants are always nice, polite and willing to help. Food is very good and well priced. Great for brunches, lunches or your average mid afternoon snack. Later in the afternoon it will usually feature...
