Excellent local restaurant that we found quite by chance, when looking for a restaurant in beautiful Porto. The restaurant is compact but the tables are still well spaced, which is something that I appreciate. Quite an extensive menu and we had the beef and squid, with house white wine. The food served turned out to be delicious and extremely well prepared. They clearly have a very good chef. The bill was very reasonable and we went back a week later and had beef again and also the cod, which is obviously a Portuguese speciality. They have a daily menu which consists of soup, main dish, choice of drink and coffee for... 9 euros 😮 The vegetable soup was pretty decent and came pretty fast. I got the grilled fish (bass) as a main dish, with which I had to be careful because it had many bones. Dessert was frozen lemon pie, which was a bit too frozen for my taste, but not bad. 250 ml of red Porto wine was my choice of drink. I'm far from a specialist so I can't really judge the wine. The food selection was quite interesting with many unusual dishes such as veal tongue stew. Every portion was quite large, and the food tasted delicious, not to mention very affordable prices.
