The hostel is well located, a few minutes from the train and subway stations. Since I had only one day in Porto, for me, that was ideal, a very short walk from Campanha train station and I took the subway about 30 minutes to the beach - SWEET ! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The garden terrace is comfy and cute. Lockers under the bed, curtains, plugs and shelf in the bunk bed for valuables, all of those are great hostel perks. There was AC too, that was amazing. On the flipside, I found the bunk beds to be a bit noisy and slightly hard to climb onto. Not a big deal, but if you are not agile, better to be on the bunk on the floor. Also, moving made quite a bit of sound because they are in wood. The showers and toilets were relatively clean, but they lack some hooks or places to put your clothes on. You kinda need to undress outside of the shower and this can be an issue for your privacy. Not a big deal again, but worth mentioning. Overall I enjoyed my stay! Will be coming...
Read moreAmazing location, short walking distance from the train/bus station. And an easy 25-30 minute walk into the main part of town. Note that there's not much along the lines of decent food in the immediate vicinity, however. Now, as for the bad - The bathrooms are pretty gross, the showers get hot but the shower heads are all busted, and there's essentially 1 toilet for the entire floor I was on (which has at least 16 beds). There is 1 outlet per bunk bed, which means you can't have the light on while charging any of your stuff. Also, I was mauled by mosquitos the entire first night. I must have killed about 20 of them throughout the night. And the cherry on top: bed bugs, which I am still itching from. If convenience and price are your only things, this place is great. Hygiene and cleanliness.. very much lacking. I guess you get what...
Read moreFairly disappointing stay (2 night, 1 day). Me and my fiance stayed in a private room, 1 bed with bathroom, and thought it was below expectation. Room was smaller than we expected, and the noise from down below was incredibly distracting when trying to sleep. The hostel guests were very inconsiderate.
Bed was adequate, but the bathroom was very small. Toilet is placed directly facing the sink, shower head seemed unable to be mounted, so it just hung freely with no direction. Price was okay, but we expected better. The woman who checked us in was very nice though.
Final point: the street to get to the Peach is CLOSED. Bolt/Uber drivers will have a hard time getting to the place. You'll be dropped off like 10 meters away from the green iron door to get into Peach. There was no mention of this when booking, so it was a little...
