I recently stayed at Residencial Santo António for one night, and it was a great choice for my short stay. The biggest advantage is the location—within walking distance to the airport (20min fast walking), making it incredibly convenient if you have an early flight.
The beach is literally a minute away, which was perfect for a quick dip or a relaxing stroll by the water.
There are also a few restaurants and small shops nearby, making it easy to grab a meal or pick up any essentials. However, be aware that noise from the nearby pub can be bothersome, especially if you’re a light sleeper or looking for a quiet night.

Some issues made this a three star hotel. The room had only one power outlet. This meant that I had to either charge my laptop or my phone. There is one more outlet on the top of the wall for the TV (which only had Portuguese channels) and one in the bath. The location next to the bars and restaurants may be good for some but if you want quiet hours you might not get them there. Our room was on the second floor with a small balcony and it was okay for the size, but we missed some more sockets. It is also a little bit loud as you can hear the airplanes.
