Restaurante "O Professor" — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

This restaurant doesn't deserve a single star. I was there in September, there were hardly any guests at 8pm. The waiter took a long time to come. Finally we could order. He left, after a while he came back with the information that the dish I have ordered was out. We ordered again. In the meantime, at least the drinks had arrived. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually I went into the store and asked for the order. A back and forth until he finally admitted to have forgotten. Forget! With a maximum of 5 restaurant guests included with us. When I read here how bad the food is, I can even be happy afterwards. We went. Was anything offered as an apology? For example the drinks not charged? Or at least offered a coffee for free? No. Just a laughable, shoulder-shrugging "sorry." Any restaurant, really any (I've been to all) that are in close proximity are a thousand times better. Sem dúvida a pior experiência que tive num restaurante a realidade é que nunca tive uma má e já comi em muitos restaurantes. Escolhi jantar neste restaurante por volta das 20h30 com a minha família na qual inclui uma criança de dois anos. Perguntámos se podíamos sentar para jantar e disseram que sim. Passado 30min. vieram recolher o pedido e passado 5 minutos veio outra pessoa fazer novamente o pedido e a dizer que iriam demorar 1 hora e meia a processar o pedido quando este pedido era apenas sopas, sandes e duas carbonaras. Pedimos que a funcionária fosse confirmar se realmente iria demorar 1 hora e meia e a mesma nunca mais voltou a mesa para o desmentir. Voltou sim para dizer que já tinha tido pessoas que tinham se ido embora sem pagar porque demoraram muito tempo a servir. Agora percebo porque disse isso enfim. Bem esperamos uma hora e meia e a mesma funcionária veio a mesa confirmar se ainda queríamos o pedido. A criança de dois anos sem comer e a cozinha a gozar completamente com a nossa cara sem terem nada preparado mesmo depois de termos estado o tempo todo a espera. Muita falta de respeito e o mais grave deixarem uma criança sem comer. Este é o nível deste restaurante. Possivelmente irei apresentar uma queixa na ASAE porque estas situações não podem continuar a repetir-se.

Without a doubt the worst experience I've had in a restaurant, the reality is that I've never had a bad one and I've eaten in many restaurants. I chose to have dinner at this restaurant around 20:30 with my family which includes a two year old child. We asked if we could sit down for dinner and they said yes. After 30min. they came to pick up the order and after 5 minutes another person came to place the order again and said that it would take 1 hour and a half to process the order when this order was just soup, sandwiches and two carbonaras. We asked the employee to confirm if it really would take 1 hour and a half and she never came back to the table to deny it. He did come back to say that he had already had people who had left without paying because they took a long time to serve. Now I understand why I said that at last. Well, we waited an hour and a half and the same employee came to the table to confirm that we still wanted the order. The two-year-old child without eating and the kitchen completely making fun of us without having anything prepared even after we had been waiting the whole time. A wholly bizarre experience:

The staff told us to move to a smaller table we didn’t want. The restaurant was nearly empty so it was just a pointless annoyance.

The menu, confusingly, didn’t include the drinks. When asked the staff didn’t remember what drinks they serve either.

Cappuccino should not be served with whipped cream and cocoa powder.

The vegetable “pasta” was very overcooked, bland, oily and looked more like a pathetic attempt at Asian noodles than anything even remotely close to pasta. Shameful.

The octopus was nice and soft but sat in a pool of oil.
