Alameda Beach Club — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

We sat on the patio, the area inside was small, but other than a few gusts of wind it was a beautiful day!! The service was very good although the lady that originally took our order wasn't the nicest person but her teammate was! He was an awesome server and obviously cares about his customers. Luckily for us he continued to be our server, maybe she didn't like me... The food was delicious! I had a waffle with bananas and dark chocolate poured over it. And a Baileys and coffee. Great location right on there beach but unfortunately very disappointing. We went for dinner at about 9pm and it was relatively quiet; it did get busier even though it was quite late. It took a while for our drinks to be served and almost an hour for our food to arrive - no apology or recognition that we had waited so long. The waitress was very inattentive and would drag the table and chairs noisily across the cobbles. Food was average but bad value. This is a great spot to relax and have a drink anytime of the day. Unfortunately the WC facilities are not good, one has to be desperate. The smell is suffocating, there are no paper towels to dry your hands, the loo paper has always run out, the bins are overflowing and the toilets not clean. Solution.. put in bigger bin, check the paper supply more regularly, if the smell is a structural fault then at least install automatic air freshners. Check the facilities many times throughout the day. There really is no excuse for...
