The best thing was that souq waqif was about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. I would go in my wheelchair to the souq waqif station and take a metro. the metro line was awesome to travel in a budget even the national museum station was close by but I never dared to go there because the road to the place was all under construction. since the roads were under construction it was a nuisance to try and walk but I guess it is just temporary otherwise the place is very close to a lot of places. the hotel is wheelchair friendly, even there breakfast room is accessible by wheelchair on the 9th floor. There is a big ramp to get into the building. That is a small grocery store just next to the hotel and the lane outside has a lot of restaurants which seem to be quiet reasonable even though I did not get a chance to visit them. the room I was given was very spacious I guess it was specially given to me because of my wheelchair. if I needed help and I would call them they would immediately send their staff to help me. The breakfast had a good layout there was hummus and khaboos everyday, cheese slices, salami slices also upma or noodles alternate days and regular breakfast stuff with choice of tea coffee or juice was part...

Read moreWe stayed here for 1 night because it was cheaper compared to other hotels and its near souq waqif but it was our worst hotel experience. Upon arrival, the staff looked for my wifes booking and asked us to wait for 30 minutes passed the actual check in time. We are not walk-ins, we had reservation but it was not prepared only to find out that they had no standard rooms left so the staff informed us that they upgraded our room to deluxe. Ofcourse i was delighted but to my dismay the room is not good. The first comment i said inside "somebody smoked a lot here". Carpets old, and lights too dim, bath towels are too old and needs to be replaced. Contrary to what others say, we did not experience bed bugs, had only one fly. The cups inside the room are stained inside and seems like its been there for ages. Air conditioner was too noisy. we thought nothing could make things worse but we were wrong.imagine sleeping and waking up in the middle of the night, its not yet winter and your air conditioner is not working. We had to switch it off and back on after an hour or so.. Please fix your Ac's compressor. Its...
