Hello there. So According to the Qatar rules and regulations, i was hotel quarantined for a week and millenium hotel was my lucky hotel. Turn out i wasn't that lucky. Everything was amazing the first day. from the second day, the food wasn't that great and i had to keep calling the room dining number for having food on time, for extra ketchup, for my deserved dessert etc. there were Spoons and fork missing some days too. the breakfast was provided everyday at different timings ad the food always came in cold. however dinner was always served between 06:00 to 06:30. i was also served the same menu as breakfast for the first 4 days. when i called them and told them i cant have the same menu as breakfast anymore, the next day i received the same menu again but this time in two boxes. both the boxes contained eggs and peas which i DIDNOT want. this was all adjustable. the worst part was how they treated quarantined customers. Even after being tested negative i was not allowed to use the hotel lift, instead they made me use the food lift which was dirty and disgusting. the smell was so awful that it was hard to stay there. the smell of food and the dirt lying on the elevator made me feel uncomfortable to keep my luggage on it. when i tried to use the hotel lift, i as blocked halfway by a security and asked to take the food lift behind. while checking out, i was asked by the receptionist to handover the keys to the receptionist. but while walking through the corridor, i was stopped by the staff in a harsh manner like a police stopping a thief and was asked to go outside through the back door. when i told the staff that the receptionist asked me to handover the key, he took it from me and asked me to leave and told me that quarantined people are not allowed to go to the reception. he also forced me to use the back door when my car was waiting right in front of the front door. i told him my car is waiting here and its hard for me to walk all the way with my big luggage. He still made me walk all the way to the backdoor and made sure i did not use the front door. I am sorry to say this but i felt humiliated and insulted in front of all the people that were watching and could never forget this incident. Please read this and keep this in mind while...
Read moreHello there, so i was quarantined in this hotel for a week and i would like to share my experience as a customer. the room was amazing, the food was great some days and it was very bad other days. i was served the same breakfast for the first three days and when i told them i cannot eat this anymore, they provided me the same breakfast again, but in two boxes. they replaced it after i asked them though. there is always something missing, could be the dessert, ketchup, fork etc. the steak i ordered was super hard that my fork and knife could barely scratch it. it took me effort to bite it with my teeth even. the staffs delivering the food are nice and sweet. the timing is super weird as it changes everyday. some times you get your lunch at 2:30 and your dinner at 6:00. the breakfast might come at different timings too. have something to eat with you or you are likely to starve. the worst part is how quarantined customers are treated outside the rooms. we are only allowed to use the service elevator which is unclean and disgusting, you can see food wastes lying down and you have to travel with your luggage in this same service lift. Even after testing negative, when i tried to use the hotel lift, i could see the security running towards me to harshly tell me i am not allowed to use the lift. i was asked by the receptionist while checking out to go to the reception, but while walking to the reception, i was stopped by a staff who again harshly told me i am not allowed in here. he even asked me, why did i even come here as if i was some untouchable. even after telling the staff i was called by the receptionist to deliver the the room card, he took it away from me and asked me to use the back door to leave. in spite of standing in front of the front door, where i could see my transport waiting for me, they made me walk all the way to the back door with my luggage and then i had to come to the front from the back through the road with my luggage. i am deeply hurt and would like to say that i was insulted and humiliated in front of the hotel by the hotel staffs. i would also like to say that they even deleted my...
Read moreMe and my wife were quarantined at Millennium Hotel Doha(Al Saad) from 20th to 26th February. During checkout at the reception, we were accused of stealing 2 towels from the room. Without any second thought, we immediately asked the staff to check our bags which they weren't ready to and informed us to wait in the lobby. After a wait of around 20min and insulting us in front of other guests and staff, Duty Manager Mr. Georges Chemali came and again accused us of stealing, saying towels were missing and took us to a room to check our bags. Worst part is that the hotel doesn't have a female staff or security to check the bags of female guests. After insisting, there came the front desk female staff to check my wife's luggage.
After going through all the procedures, they couldn't find anything in any of our bags.
The actual scenario is that - on 23rd or on 24th of feb (unsure of exact date), we had asked for change in towels. After delivering the fresh towels, we returned the used towels to the housekeeping staff. Today the entire hotel staff including Duty Manager Mr. Georges Chemali, Housekeeping Supervisor Mr. Rao and the front desk accused us of not returning the used towels and taking it home.
Also Mr.Georges mentioned that there had been many instances as such in the hotel and they followed the same procedure but they couldn't find the missing stuff with the guest. This indirectly means that the staff is the culprit.
In a quarantine hotel, guests are not allowed to move a step out of the room. So if the missing towels are not in the room or not in our luggage, then obviously it is the STAFF who has misplaced it and is accusing guests.
Finally when the duty manager Mr. George Chemali and housekeeping staff couldn't find anything in our bags he told us "You are free to go"....
