However, when I reached the cashier, I was surprised to see that the items were scanned at QR 8.25 and QR 6.25 instead. I immediately informed the cashier about the price difference and even showed her the photo I took of the displayed prices. Instead of assisting me professionally, she simply said, “Do you want to cancel because it’s expensive?” I explained to her that my concern was not about the price being expensive, but about the inconsistency between the shelf price and the system price, which is misleading for customers. Her response was dismissive and unhelpful. She even told me to “check the barcode” — which I believe is not the customer’s responsibility, but rather the store’s duty to ensure that shelf prices and system prices match. Such a response shows a lack of proper training and customer service awareness. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously by: Ensuring price tags are accurate and updated in your system; and Providing proper training for your staff on handling customer concerns politely and professionally.
