nice stay
Reception: Check in lady “Estar” was very friendly. Upon check out there was no question “How was your stay”, or “was everything okay.”
Room / facilities: Room number 60901 is on floor 6, is 80 square meters in size and was very clean.
There are two very comfortable single beds in the room with two pillows on each bed.
We stayed 4 nights. The room is a “studio” with kitchen and separate bathroom. The bedroom area has clothes hanging area, bath robes, slippers, safe, iron and iron board.
The flat screen TV was a challenge to get any channels to display, reception had to send someone to get the TV functional. There are QR codes to get instructions on how to operate the TV and also to pull up the menu for the downstairs restaurants.
There is also an L-shaped sofa, which is sort of comfortable a two seater table to eat on, a breakfast bar, tea and coffee facilities, along with a coffee machine and coffee, pods, large fridge with freezer hidden in the cupboard, desk and lamp for operating computer, along with a separate chair and ottoman.
The kitchen has cook top, cooking range, combo clothes washer / dryer, kitchen sink, automatic dishwasher, none of which have supplies for use or instructions on how to use these machines.
All room main room lights and air conditioner are operated by a single digital push button control panel at the main door The air conditioner is full self control, this particular room no windows would open. The air con fan speed, even on low setting, is quite loud.
Bathroom has no power outlet to operate the hair dryer, very poor lighting in the bathroom and apartment. Towles are good but some are a little thin.
Laundry: Self service free laundry with 1 washer and 1 dryer is located in the group of 3 suites to use. There is no wash supplies provided or instructions for machine use.
Parking: is available at no cost, but has limited space over 3 levels. Many car spaces are reserved for permanent guests and management.
Wifi: Complementary and good speed. Validation and password is required.
Breakfast: Available for additional cost, but not utilised on this stay.
Conclusion: Good location, very comfortable beds, easy access from the airport. The hotel is great for a few days stay, where you want additional space and functionality.
Letdowns: The lack of supplies for the kitchen, dishwasher and lack of power outlets in the bathroom.
Additionally, we arrived home after being out all day, in the room there was a terrible stench of other people’s spicy cooking and had to call reception to spray some air freshener in the unit however, they would not leave that for us to continually spray.
Location / Nearby: Corniche, petrol station, souk market and restaurants, city is only 6 km away, islamic museum, metro station .
Getting to hotel: If arriving by car,...
Read moreThe furniture is very old, the wood is so noisy, the employees are unprofessional, the two Moroccan receptionist had a fight while I was waiting for taxi, they kept shouting on each other's without caring about the image of the hotel & management, they didn't shut up their mouths until their manager talked to them, & i didn't believe what I saw also, one lady she entered the hotel with her dog! Nobody stopped her! She was talking to the receptionist as it's a normal thing to do! Also one of the Moroccan receptionist was in unprofessional situation with a GCC guy he was sitting on sofa which is near Ramadan decoration & she was standing infront of him & they were talking & sharing things thru phones! The hotel offers water only on the first day of staying, then u have to pay for having water! The food is less than simple they have to change the chef & menu. I don't know how its rated 5 stars! It even doesn't deserve 3 stars. & really what pissed me off that i used to put don't disturb on the door during weekend, & the employees knocked the door without any respect for my privacy. & one lady from the restaurant wake me up also while I was putting don't disturb, she brought suhoor, & knocked the door 2 times while I didn't order anything, when I called the receptionist she said she was confused about room number, she doesn't know exactly the real room number! I couldn't sleep cuz of her, I went to my work without having enough sleep cuz of her! Also I found something weird Whenever I go out I find someone from housekeeping standing near the left or corner without no reason they keep staring at people! It's uncomfortable! The towels have a bad smell & they r old, 100% consumed! They must change it. Overall the negatively is more than the positive things. Last thing to say don't ever let ur housekeeping touch our things inside our bags even if it's open, my family doesn't do that, it's my privacy area! By the way I have stayed before in fraser hospitality brand in different countries they were perfect, while this one...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for 8 nights, and it was amazing! The first night, I had to check in super late like 4am in the morning because my original booking at another hotel had an issue. I called every hotel at that hour to look for a vacant room. The only hotel which actually tried to help me was Fraser Suites Doha! Especially, the receptionist Hamza Javed was the pro! He said he would check back with the availability and let me know. Then, he did. So, I spontaneously stayed at this hotel for the first night and extended my trip. The first night, I stayed at a double bed which was just an average room compared to the other hotels. However, for the rest of the nights, I stayed at a one-bedroom suite, and it was absolutely AMAZING! The view was amazing and the room was spacious. I could invite like 8 of my friends on one of the days to cook for them, and the space was more than enough. There was every necessary cooking utensil. You just have to purchase your own dish soap and detergent. The bed was comfortable. There were two bathrooms. The people at this hotel were super nice in general. They always brought delivery food to my room. The Finnish sauna was also great. You just have to book in advance for the sauna. I got to do it twice during my stay. The gym has a breathtaking view. I couldn't use the pool b/c it was too chilly, but it would have been nice to swim there if the weather was better. Everything was just perfect. I really recommend this hotel, and I want to show my gratitude again to the receptionist Hamza Javed. He was the nicest person...
