Reservation communication- 5 our of 5 | we had a couple of questions prior to our arrival via email. The responses were prompt and helpful.|Front desk - 5 out of 5 |we were there for 9 nights. Every interaction with the front desk was pleasant and helpful. Sepcial thanks to Bianca. She worked the evening shift and went the extra mile to help us out with something housekeeping issue.|Location - 4.5 out of 5|I wasn't sure if I liked the location at first. It seems like it is a 7-10 minute walk to everything including the metro stations. After 2-3 days, I realized it is actually centrally located to all the things you would want to see more than old town. It is a few minutes walk from two difference metro stations. It is less than 10 minutes walk from old town. (I prefer not to stay in old town.) It is easy to get to some of the meeting places of the day tours we joined. Quite a few really good local restaurants hear by - Dumicati, Mario's Osteria, MOM, etc. (will review them separately.) There are still tourists but also many locals.|Room - 4 out of 5 - very spacious with a little stove ( didnt use so can't comment). A decent size sitting area. TVs in both sitting area and bedroom. There are areas who need touch ups but not a big deal. We asked for a room facing the courtyard and it was very quiet.|Breakfast - 3 out of 5 - Breakfast was included in the room which was a nice surpirse for me. The food was average fare. Service was good.|Housekeeping - 3 out of 5. There are rooms for improvements but I give the hotel the benefit of the doubt - learning curve maybe?||Definitely recommend...

Really enjoyed our time here. They were super friendly at the front desk and spoke some English, which was helpful. The elevator going up to the room was small, but that is typical for any European hotel. They did have two elevators, which was nice. Our room was a king suite and it was even better than we expected. We had two little balconies that overlooked the street. The room was large with a full kitchen. The bed was super comfy. It was clean. There was a lot of closet space and an in room safe. The shower had great water pressure. Our room also included breakfast. It was located on the upper floor in a large Restaurant room. We thought the breakfast was awesome and full of variety. There were eggs and sausages, cheeses, breads, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, a selection of coffees, teas, hot cocoa and juices. It was a nice spread. Really enjoyed starting our day out in the bright sunny room with the helpful staff and good food. Also loved our hotel location, it was literally a 10 minute walk to old town Bucharest. Our location felt like it was in a great neighborhood with restaurants just down the street and also a 24 hour little convenience store just across the street. Also, the Metro station was super close as well within walking distance. Really enjoyed our time here and would totally stay here again. Oh, and it also had parking available just below the hotel. Tight spaces but you had a protected place to park for...

I looked at so many hotels and finally decided on this partly due to the reviews.||We were checked in early and our room was ready. Lovely apartment, all clean and a supply of goodies in our mini fridge (chargeable but reasonable).||It wasn’t apparent it was near to the old town until we delved into it more. 10 min walk to a lovely little park. Easy to get Ubers which we did to everywhere. Cheap too. ||Bed lovely and comfortable. Lovely bathroom. First morning at breakfast (8am) as we had the spa booked, nice selection for a complimentary breakfast. Scrambled eggs were not hot or even warm though which was a shame as they looked just how I’d like them. Really nice restaurant it was in though. ||Our teabags weren’t replaced at all over the 3 nights. We were given no milk either at all. There was milk on the cleaning trolley so not sure why we had none even that first day. When we asked at Reception after our evening meal the male receptionist was quite rude stating not at this time of night, most hotels I’ve stayed in are aware where these supplies are kept and are happy to help. Not this one staff member!||Our toilet roll wasn’t replenished either. Loved the apartment and would have given 5 stars if not for these few little things, ||It’s the service and staff that help with reviews. Our service and staff...

This would not be a bad hotel, except it is showing signs of neglect that are unacceptable for a hotel that has been quite recently refurbished. Had it not been for these signs of neglect, which by the way could have been easily remedied, I would gave given it at least four stars. What am I talking about? Stained carpets, doors that do not close properly and are missing hinge screws, plants way past their prime in the room. Some positives: the suites are generous and well designed, bathroom and kitchenette very clean, fresh bed sheets. The entrance into the hotel is awkward and seems to be a bit of an afterthought. Also, and more importantly, dropoff and pickup are difficult because the hotel is on a major boulevard right on the corner, so right before a traffic light. The area of Bucharest where the hotel is located is a prime location, but currently looks quite derelict. Despite rhat, the hotel is close to the Old Town , shopping, museums and businesses in the center of the city.

The room was much bigger than expected, with a spacious livingroom and a kitchenette that’s great for working or dining. Also the room was a little noisy as it faced the street. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to stay and nicely renovated. However, there are a few small details that take away from the four-star feel. For example, the room behind the reception desk looked cluttered and was visible through the glass, and some minor maintenance issues like a loose bathroom hanger could use attention. The room appeared clean overall, but there were a few stains on the living room table that were overlooked and I think could have been removed. The hotel has great potential but with a bit more attention to detail. For now it felt like an expensive 3 star hotel.

Great suites in a genuine historic hotel - formerly the Palace Hotel. Comfy & spacious facilities, a newly refurbished Bistro/ Breakfast room on the 6th floor with a view out to the Palace of Parliament. The park is very close for a stroll after breakfast and the hotel is conveniently situated just a few minutes walk from the heart of the Old Town - all the convenience without booming bass until 4am. Just walk down Calea Victoriei and nip through the Macca - Vilacrosse Passage. Curtains block out all light (important for me) and apartment was very quiet as was the great air-con. I had exec suite on 4th floor. Best of all, the wonderful Emilia is at front of house - top service with a smile. I'll be back & this will be my choice when next in Bucharest.
