MoM restaurant is a culinary gem located in the center of Bucharest that I highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious and unique dining experience. One dish in particular that stands out is their millefeuille lasagna, which is simply divine. I simply loved it.
The millefeuille lasagna is a layered dish that combines the classic flavors of lasagna with the delicate flakiness of millefeuille pastry. Each layer is expertly crafted, with perfectly cooked pasta, rich tomato sauce, and a delectable blend of cheeses. The top layer of pastry adds a wonderful crunch to the dish, making it a truly unforgettable culinary experience.
But the millefeuille lasagna is not the only standout dish at MoM. The restaurant offers a wide variety of other menu options, including fresh salads, succulent burger meats, and innovative dessert dishes. The restaurant's focus on using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients ensures that each dish is bursting with flavor and texture.
The restaurant itself has a cozy nordic and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to provide recommendations. The service is attentive but never overbearing, allowing diners to enjoy their meal at their own pace.
In summary, MoM restaurant is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for exceptional cuisine in a warm and inviting setting. Whether you're looking to indulge in the millefeuille lasagna or explore the many other culinary delights on the menu, MoM is sure to delight your taste buds and leave you with a memorable...
Read moreSpring 2023 update: What happened to MOM? Be careful if you have allergies or intolerances, they do not give a flip about that and will laugh in your face about it. I ordered a salad after I triple checked the ingredients, and it came out with an ingredient not in the menu, which I could not eat. I didn’t make a fuss, but kindly asked if they could just grill me a hamburger without the buns, because I am gluten intolerant. I would pay full price, I was just hungry and needed something to eat. The waiter went to ask the kitchen and then came back to chastise me "that this is a French restaurant, they're very much all about the gluten". That poor waiter, it was obvious he was just the messenger. I did eat my sad, wilted, oily potatoes, which my own MOM would never serve to me. My husband's food was also bland and cold. I'm still steaming about this. I'm so done with Parisienne airs on an empty stomach. Literally!!
Old Review Passion is evident in everything that they do. We got the pear in puff pastry with gorgonzola and honey, the MOM burger, and the Beef Tournedo. The pear in puff pastry and the hamburger were perfection, the beef tournedo was a bit on the medium-well side. I won't deduct any stars for the beef, as variation is normal and the overall meal was delicious. The burger especially has a special mushroomy taste that I loved.
The staff is also very nice, attentive and involved. You can tell they are passionate about the place. We will return...
Read moreOur experience with MOM was tremendous from start to finish. Their place is extremely well made, nice decorations, and gives a friendly warm vibe, just how they meant to do it with the feminine energy. The open kitchen really gives it a home-ish feeling.
The personnel is well behaved, very helpful, and knowledgeable at all times making sure that we have all we need and inquiring about our preferences. The menu isn't that long, but that is necessary in order to make sure that all ingredients are fresh and the meals properly delivered.
Now back to the most importat thing, the food. MOM delivers one of the best dinner experiences in Bucharest. Their star man, the burger, is such a fine and exquisite taste that puts it on top of my list for burgers in the city. The entrees, the pear and the burrata are both great in their own right, very nice pairing of sweet and sour with a balanced flavour all around. For dessert we had the apple 'crumble', or reimagined tart, which is a very tasty interpretation of the traditional apple pie.
The prices are a bit above the average in the city, but consider you're in the city's historic centre, a few steps aways from the CEC Palace with a nice view outside. All in all, I would heavily recommend MOM for an amazing dining experience at all times.
PS: They lack more diversity for vegetarian dishes, however they assured me they are working on it and will come back with more options...
