The room was spacious and one of the walls was beautifully decorated with flower wallpapers. The enormous window provided plenty of light (the view was to an inner yard that was OK). We loved the mirrors and the glass-brick wall in the bathroom. The bed was huge and comfortable. Every day our room was cleaned. Due to an almost 3-hour delay of our train, we arrived after the check-in time. We got no reply via email, booking.com message, or check-in time request but from the latter we got a phone number with WhatsApp where after an online registration we were provided with an access code to our room. The room was on the ground floor near the reception and it used to get loud in the morning - forget about sleeping after 8 AM. A small shelf near the shower and a dimmed light near the bed would have been useful.

Very lovely decor, spacious rooms and ideal location. Not far from Bucarest Nord Station. All staff had been very lovely and hospitable - there is 1 gentleman that I believe is also a receptionist who always looks angry and is very blunt. Lovely lounge area just b4 you go upstairs to rooms. Great value for money

The hotel is half an hour by foot from the city centre, the room are decent and have most amenities you might need, check in and out are every fast and worryfree. The area around looks a bit shabby but overall felt safe and in tune with the locals.

When I arrived at Hotel Tranzzit there was absolutely nobody manning the desk. Granted, it was around 11pm, but the website lists no set check-in time limit (just that it begins at 2pm). I waited around 45 mins for someone to show up, and the person who did arrive was not very friendly or communicative. ||||After some back and forth I was told that they had no record of my booking — however I had just received a phone call from them the day before (no message left) so they definitely had my information. The night receptionist showed me the personal information of everyone else staying there to ask if I was staying with those guests, which seemed like a breach of privacy. He asked if I had paid yet, and I said no, but he gave me the keys and let me into the room without paying. Very strange check-in experience.||||Overall, the room was not bad. Unfortunately I was in the room directly beside reception and you can hear absolutely everything, so I was awoken every day by the phone ringing or people chatting. The daytime receptionists were very friendly although did not speak English, and I made sure to pay for my stay in the morning. ||||My room had one large bed, a closet, a bathroom, a window to an outdoor seating area, and a television — although I never tried the TV as you could hear everything from the lobby and vice versa. No hot water on the first day but the second day was fine. Soap and shower gel is included in the bathroom. No fridge or kettle in the room but there is a kitchen. Breakfast is not included but one coffee per day is allowed if you ask the reception to prepare it. Wi-fi is uncharacteristically spotty for Romania and would connect and disconnect every minute or so.||||The great thing about this place is not only price but location. You are only around 8 mins from Gara de Nord and there is a laundromat on the way as well. Lots of Mega Image grocery stores nearby and even a nice park. Metro, etc. are all located conveniently. It's very easy to walk to the Old City and the area with the Atheneum. ||||Overall, I didn't hate my stay here. It was a bit awkward and strange but the daytime receptionists were very sweet and feigned being impressed with my almost-non-existent Romanian, hahaha. I would stay here again for one or two nights if I was...

Okay, we were here for 10 days in July. I will start with the positives and then other areas that could be improved.|The room that we stayed in was big and airy, good air-conditioning, clean, I can see that the tranzzit hotel are making improvements i.e. new bathrooms, clean and modern. Night staff was friendly quite close to old town, €3 in an Uber, which I thought was great value.. sidenote, Ubers are cheap and reliable in Bucharest. |Some of the day staff tried to be friendly but lack of English made it hard to communicate.|Now onto the not so positive where the hotel is situated. There is a lack of restaurants and local amenities.|The rooms : |Simple thing, like a waste paper bin in your room. There was none. Also, we did not have a wardrobe in our room where we could hang or clothes are clothes had to stay mostly in our suitcases. or hung over a chair and we had a bracelet and a brand-new top go missing from our room. I did report it but nothing was done.. there is no coffee making facilities in your room or or a place in the hotel where you could get a coffee we had to take an Uber into old town. One particular member of the reception staff treated the hotel home from home. She was never behind the reception. She was always in the lounge area smoking drinking coffee and she had a dog that would bark at you. You always felt that if you had to ask her a question that you were interrupting her conversation with her male friend or interrupting her on her mobile, very unprofessional. And the stink of smoke through the hotel wasn’t nice either.|This is an honest and fair view of the...

I'm afraid that I wouldn't visit Hotel Tranzzit again in a hurry. ||||We arrived late on a Sunday night to be told by the receptionist that there wasn't anywhere in the area where we could eat and our only option would be to order a pizza online. This was not an easy task but we managed it. When we left the hotel the next day we found a Kebab shop 2 mins round the corner and a steak house 10 mins from the hotel so that was pretty annoying.||||The room was warm but too warm in fact! Tried to put air con on but it was very noisy. Tried to open window but the noise from outside was really loud. ||Light in bathroom and two side lights didn't work. Lights that did work weren't very good. The red lampshades made it look like the red light district.||Handrail in the bathroom fell off. The shower didn't have a hook to place the shower head, so I had to hold the shower while washing my hair which was annoying. Reception will provide you with a hairdryer but it's only a small one and over heats and stops working after 2 mins. Our room was never cleaned and we never received fresh towels.||The bed was very uncomfortable, I could feel the springs in the mattress. ||||The breakfast is very basic. ||||The area isn't great. I never felt unsafe but it's very quiet and there isn't much to do in the area. Walking back to the hotel from the Metro every night I never saw one person which I thought was odd.||||The hotel...
