The hotel is located very centrally so it is amazing for a town visit. The rooms are newly renovated and done excellently. However, the hotel is literally in the middle of the steps between upper and lower town so if you have luggage or a bit elderly just getting to the room with all your belongings can be a challenge. On top there is no reception in the hotel, so after you find the hotel you have to navigate yourself 300m away in the upper town to find the receptionist. We did call for someone to come but this was of no use - I had to go to the receptionist in person so she can accompany me back to the hotel for us to check in there. Same story for check out - the leave let in the hotel says “go to Luxembourg street for check out”, so I did go with all my things and with the room keys - also no use as she had to accompany me back to the hotel just to accept the keys with no other value add service. Very very annoying service, if it was not for the location we wouldn’t have checked in in the first place!||Also the air conditioning was not working in any of the 2 rooms we had. We did open the window in the evening but the music from the restaurants and the people passing by on the stairs made us...
Read moreVery nice stay, large rooms, completely renovated, nice design and alot of extras (tea kettle, wifi speakers, wireless charger, etc). Great location also, 2 minutes walk to the old town. Before booking one should know that there isn't always someone at the reception, but there is a phone number one can call and someone comes within a few minutes, so no problem there. The water pressure in the shower could be better, but it is an historical building, maybe not much can be done. The breakfast room is also not located in the same building, but at a cafe 2 minutes away. Breakfast is rather basic and the space does not have restrooms for the guest/customers at breakfast time...
Read moreWell, we went so many times in Sibiu, but never stayed at Huet Residence, although it was on our wish list. We were not dissapointed. We had the room 'with the violine', a quiet one with a window facing the old walls, and another one facing the stairs that go all the way up to the Lutheran Evangelical Cathedral. The room was maybe a little bit pricey, but overall we recommend this cozy little residence( that has only a couple of rooms). One of the nice things was that our room had an old painting above the windows arcade( and the owners left it like that, not trying to put a white spot instead of, in order for all the roof to have the same vision). They had a good...
