Bottom line - many mistakes in 1 order by 5 persons (2 adults 3 children, 1 dish each)... Lets start with the good: the place looks lovely, the courtyard is very inviting (if you don't mind cigarette smoke ...), out the dishes that weren't wrong (3 out of 5) 1 was very good (fish of the day ) and 1 was good (pasta arabiata). A third - a salad - came with scant dressing, 3.5 cherry tomatoes and 2 pieces of avocado the size of the cherry tomato (we counted...). It was, all in all, OK, if you like mainly lettuce. All the dishes were slow in the making (a romanian characteristic), the pasta being served last , over 45 minutes after ordering. The French Toast came with chicken inside, although we requested it without chicken as the person ordering it is vegetarian. The salad came with lots of lettuce (although not in the stated ingredients according to the menu - check photos below) and no artichoke (although listed in the ingredients). Also - the French fries stated in the menu were not delivered. After some dealings with 2 waitresses (the second more experienced of whom tried to convince us to take out the chicken and give it to the vegetarian anyway), the owner/manager arrived. We had some trouble explaining why we weren't happy . Finally some of the mistakes were corrected, the new French Toast arrived in less than 10 minutes, and was vegetarian. The owner/manager was fair enough. She didn't charge for one of the dishes, and gave a 20% discount overall . For a place so expensive (in romanian standards) and rated so highly by other google users, the experience should have...

Really bad experience. Unprofessional and very impolite treatment. I was there for dinner with my eight year old son. While previous experiences at Jules were OK this time it showed all the shortcomings of badly run operation. We passed by after lunch and were told to come after 18:00 as they were closing. We did accordingly and when we arrived for dinner we were told we should have reserved a table! Something they failed to say when we were there earlier. Things happen and we were ready to come later or another day. The owner/metre however intervened and told us to the shock of my son that she in fact told us to make reservations. Not only she did not but we never talked to her! My son was baffled by the uncalled for lie. We left and received decent treatment elsewhere. Restaurants are first and foremost about hospitality. We arrived at Sibiu on our last evening of our trip and were looking for a place to eat dinner. We don’t really fancy the traditional Romanian food and it was really hard to find a place serving something different. Luckily, we stumbled upon this terrific restaurant. My girlfriend is allergic to Gluten and the staff here were extremely understanding and helpful, they double checked everything with the chef and made sure she wouldn’t have any problem. It was the first time in Romania that a waiter checked up on us to see if we’re happy while we were eating (something that we’re used to in our country but didn’t really happen to us in Romania) and overall the vibe was really nice.
