Although the location is amazing, I was very disapointed to see they use frozen food (not fresh food). I ordered spicy chicken wings, but I received some pieces of chicken with no bones inside. I asked the waiter why they are not regular chicken wings and she explained to me that they use some kind of McDonalds frozen nuggets that have no bones. The potatoes were also frozen ones (in Sibiu there are a lot of restaurants with fresh potatoes). My daughter order a Capriciosa pizza that had a very weird ham, very dark colour that could not be biten as it was very hard. We also had desert, papanasi, those were good. The concluzion is that I would never go back there again or I would only have some drinks and papanasi, nothing more. The stars I gave are one for the location and one for papanasi. That's it. 3rd time we are going to Butoiul de aur as my brother loves the draft beer. I arrived with my husband and as the weather was lovely the terrace was full. We decided to go inside as my siblings were about to arrive soon . As we entered the restaurant, we asked if we can take a place ( the local was empty ) and the bartender told us " you can sit anywhere but I won't have time to attend you " , this literally shocked me . My husband advised the bartender that we are six , at that moment one lady ( the owner) told us "it is ok, I will take care of you " Obviously we left and promises myself I will never return ,this was not the first time I got this service at this place . I totally understand a place can be full and can't take anymore clients but a professional should know how advised the clients without being rude. Very Disappointing - Not Recommended

Our visit to this pub was a huge disappointment and ruined our first day in Sibiu. We wanted to enjoy a beer and sat down, but the waitress was clearly in a bad mood.

We only asked two questions about the types of beer that our neighboring tables had ordered. However, she responded in an annoyed manner with an unfriendly expression, saying: “Really, I don’t know how the other customers drink.” It is her job as a waitress to be knowledgeable about the drinks offered and to be friendly and helpful. Instead, we were met with rudeness and unprofessionalism.

Unfortunately, this was a very bad start for us in Sibiu. We definitely cannot recommend this pub and advise others...
