After my 3 nights stay I can tell the following : don't trust the photos on booking.com The rooms look a lot bigger in the photos ( I stayed in a standard double room on the second floor ). You should check the surface of the room first. I didn't do that and was quite disappointed ( my mistake, this is not influencing my review's score ). the staff is really nice the floor is creaking soooo bad + the rooms are not soundproof. I could hear everybody on the hallway near my room walking as well as from the room above. breakfast is decent. You shouldn't expect anything amazing, quite limited. the location and the view are nice basic facilities missing ( no bathroom toothbrush holder, just 2 glasses, no way to boil water etc .... ) the WiFi is bad, for the second floor at least. I visited during winter. I had to go and EXPLICITLY ask for the AC remote as it was not the room. The hearts were turning on and off during the night ( there is no termostat in the room or control over the heaters ). This was my biggest disappointment.

All and all, it was okay. I got the room at around 330 lei (around 66 euros)/ night. Would I go back ? No. For example, for an extra 150 lei (30 euros) you could get a room at Aro Palace ( a duplex, i.e. a room double in space compared to the one I stayed in at Gott ). I would pay the premium. Everything is way better. It's not such a big jump in price. At Aro Palace you truly get a 5 star experience. Looking at the difference in price, facilities and location, Gott is a...

To:|Ioana, the esteemed hotel Gott manager,|and the dedicated hotel staff,||Dear all,||I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful hospitality I received during my stay at your hotel.||I arrived in Brașov as a stopover, but due to the war in Israel and the cancellation of my flight, I was forced to stay in the city longer than expected. Despite the difficult and unplanned circumstances, staying at your hotel became a source of comfort, peace, and security for me.||From the very first moment until my departure, I felt a warm, respectful, and personal attitude from each and every one of you. The professional service, kindness, cleanliness, and attention to the smallest details all contributed to a pleasant and unforgettable experience—especially during such a challenging time for me.||Dear Yoana, it is clear that you lead the hotel with great professionalism and genuine care. The atmosphere you create is felt throughout the entire place and reflected in every encounter with the staff, who acted with dedication, empathy, and a true desire to provide the best service possible.||Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your warm and generous hospitality. I hope to return in the future under happier circumstances, and I will gladly recommend your hotel to others.||With appreciation and warm regards,|Rami...

Location: 5 - Near central square. A bit noisy in the evening, but it is the price you must pay for staying so close to central square.

Staff: 5

Included breakfast: 4 - No fresh or 100% juice.

Dinner: 3.5 - Prices are larger than expected, but there are plenty of restaurants you can choose of.

Room: 4 - With minor changes it could be a 5. Sometimes bad smell came from floor siphon. The toilet seems clean and sanitized. The AC & TV remotes need some cleaning. We stayed in an attic room. It has only roof windows which cannot be left open if it is raining. The fridge is a bit small and Peltier based.

The building: 4 - It is an old building (it has that "old building" smell), but you cannot expect something else in the old town. The restaurant seems well maintained, but the rest of the building's interior needs some refurbishing.

Overall: 4.25 -...

PROs: Check in was easy, even earlier than 12 pm. Friendly Staff, ready to help with any. Room is big enough, about 20 sqm. No option too adapt the room temperature, warm and good room climate though. Bathroom is big as well, no bathtub but shower. Complete set of amenities. Smart TV, WiFi connected with Netflix and other streaming APPs. You needed to connect with your own account though. WiFi speed is not constantly good. Consistent breakfast, starting at 7am to 10. Restaurant is great, average prices with variety of Mediterranean kitchen. Free parking with limited (6) parking lots though. CONs: The wood floor is noisy, I would say very noisy. This being valid also for the corridors, basically you hear anyone walking.

10 minute EUR3+ for taxi from the station, in the old town, arrived early 9am’ish, but allowed early check in, 2 nights, easy and polite (even offered breakfast too at check in). Room 2nd floor at front, big, good bathroom, bed and wifi; could get noisy in summer facing onto the street (& restaurant downstairs), but quiet after 10pm. Breakfast downstairs Mediterra (Greek themed) Restaurant Bar, all good buffet choices inc muesli, eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc. plus cheeses and cold cuts. Also had dinner two nights at same, very good, chicken, mushroom sauce and grilled vegetables, following evening ‘Greek fish & chips’ anchovies and chips; service was fine, quite relaxed.

This is a very nicely located hotel. The rooms are ok, a bit dated and some have skylight windows that do not close. So, if you can't sleep with light, make sure they don't give you a room on the 3rd floor. Their site says they have laundry facilities, however, that is not true. They do offer laundry service, which it is not the same and requires 24 hours notice. It's nice that breakfast is included but the selection is minimal and things run out quite early.
