After my 3 nights stay I can tell the following : don't trust the photos on booking.com The rooms look a lot bigger in the photos ( I stayed in a standard double room on the second floor ). You should check the surface of the room first. I didn't do that and was quite disappointed ( my mistake, this is not influencing my review's score ). the staff is really nice the floor is creaking soooo bad + the rooms are not soundproof. I could hear everybody on the hallway near my room walking as well as from the room above. breakfast is decent. You shouldn't expect anything amazing, quite limited. the location and the view are nice basic facilities missing ( no bathroom toothbrush holder, just 2 glasses, no way to boil water etc .... ) the WiFi is bad, for the second floor at least. I visited during winter. I had to go and EXPLICITLY ask for the AC remote as it was not the room. The hearts were turning on and off during the night ( there is no termostat in the room or control over the heaters ). This was my biggest disappointment.
All and all, it was okay. I got the room at around 330 lei (around 66 euros)/ night. Would I go back ? No. For example, for an extra 150 lei (30 euros) you could get a room at Aro Palace ( a duplex, i.e. a room double in space compared to the one I stayed in at Gott ). I would pay the premium. Everything is way better. It's not such a big jump in price. At Aro Palace you truly get a 5 star experience. Looking at the difference in price, facilities and location, Gott is a...

Read moreLocation: 5 - Near central square. A bit noisy in the evening, but it is the price you must pay for staying so close to central square.
Staff: 5
Included breakfast: 4 - No fresh or 100% juice.
Dinner: 3.5 - Prices are larger than expected, but there are plenty of restaurants you can choose of.
Room: 4 - With minor changes it could be a 5. Sometimes bad smell came from floor siphon. The toilet seems clean and sanitized. The AC & TV remotes need some cleaning. We stayed in an attic room. It has only roof windows which cannot be left open if it is raining. The fridge is a bit small and Peltier based.
The building: 4 - It is an old building (it has that "old building" smell), but you cannot expect something else in the old town. The restaurant seems well maintained, but the rest of the building's interior needs some refurbishing.
Overall: 4.25 -...
