Nice food, but the staff? Oh boy the staff.

Let's play a game. What do you do if you make a mistake on a customer's order? A. You apologize, go back and get the right order for them Or B. Blame the customer and have a go at them to their face, because clearly they are responsible for YOUR mistake.

Considering the two star review, I'll give you one guess as to which approach the staff here have used. Story time: visited Brașov with three other people, and decided to dine here as the place has good reviews and a large variety of dishes to choose from. We sat down, and since the menu was quite expansive and my friends didn't know much about the local dishes, we needed some time to order. The first server comes around and we ask for 5 more minutes. They show up again not 30 seconds later, to which we say the same thing, that we just need 5 more minutes. More than 10 minutes passed, with no one coming to serve us, so I went inside to say we were ready to order, as I figured they were just giving us more time. The supervisor says to me "I already sent someone 2 or 3 times and you didn't order!" Ohhh kay? That was a bit rude but whatever.

A waitress who seemed really nice at first, came around and took our orders. None of my friends speak Romanian, and even though the waitress spoke English, I helped translate for them out of politeness. Among other things, we asked for one small sparkling water, and one large regular water. When she brought the drinks, she mixed the bottles bringing plain instead of sparkling water and vice versa. When she returned with the right things, she said to me something along the lines of: "From now on let me speak to the others, because you created confusion. I speak English too, you know." From her tone and the words she used it was clear she was blaming me for her mistake.

Minutes later the supervisor comes around with some food, and as he was serving the plates, he accidentally hit me in the eye with one of them. He says "I'm sorry, but you turned your head into the plate". Right. Keep in mind I didn't even challenge him or complain, I just stayed quiet but he really felt the need to point out it was my fault.

We had ordered our food with 3 Truffle Mashed Potatoes as a side, which never arrived. I still lament the loss of my glorious mashed potatoes. After having the food with no sides, we felt full and decided not to inquire about the sides, since we'd probably be blamed for that too. When the waitress brought the bill they were on there, to which I explained they never arrived. She was visibly annoyed as she went back to change the bill, and when she returned, guess what, IT WAS MY FAULT FOR THIS MISTAKE TOO! She says "why didn't you say anything about the sides, now you got me in trouble". Oh I don't know, is it because you were rude af and I didn't want to deal with you? Food was getting cold so we just ate it as it was.

I'm sure her supervisor gave her a lot of grief for what were simple mistakes on a busy Saturday night, which accounted for some of her anger. It seems like a very toxic place to work in. Nevertheless, It's not acceptable to treat a customer like this, especially considering the steep prices we pay.

At least the food was pretty good, and the location/atmosphere of the restaurant was also very nice. Looking at the reviews it seems most people had a great time here, and we are probably the exception, not the norm. Nevertheless, I am never coming...

This restaurant was my favorite before the pandemic, so it warmed my heart to return to this place basking in good food and memories. When there, disappointment from the start. We are placed at a small, cramped table where the person behind me kept moving forward to make room for me. So I move my seat elsewhere, much to my surprise as the waitress bombards me with "I'll push you all evening", not asking if she could help. Incidentally, other people at different tables can be heard complaining about the limited space between tables. When choosing the dishes, the waiter takes away all my joy : we don't have any more this, nor porchetta, tortellini have no meat, pizza on the wood oven no way, foccacia (in an Italian restaurant at 18.30 in the evening) no more, but we gladly offer you toasted bread instead (which they added to the extra bill)..." that I chose a small, extremely expensive plate for 4-5 small pieces of cheese and 4 olives and some salami. Husband's meal : Unsalted frozen potatoes, nothing with taste. The cocktails we got, far too sour, they promised a cheap prosecco - I left more than half in the glass there. The sadness is due to the missing atmosphere, the sullen hostess, the once lovely now forgotten dishes. Lack of fries with parmesan and garlic, lack of many once beautifully presented dishes on in a tablet and classy wines, lack of elegance and overall charm. I sincerely hope that it will rise again to its former glory and and a better, eager chef willingly to surprise with his...

One of your waiters was rude and gave me a "no" when I asked if I could sit at reserved space in front. Place looks empty and other waiter was more helpful in explaining why however you're losing customers waiting for it to rain so you can move patrons inside? If you do the math of people outside who chose to be there knowing it might sprinkle to the 8 seats inside I'm sure it'd be smarter to have business inside at non occupied seats. Also way too hot to even sit inside last the entrance into other room. I was with a regular who goes often but I wouldn't come back.

Update: came back with a reservation Waitress with dark hair was horrible. Took our orders and our plates had to ask her for Bill and never asked how our food was or anything. Paid much attention to table next to us.

Calamari was nice and crispy however was not properly skinned. Has lots of skin around rings of camalari very annoying to eat-would not order again.

Pasta was about 2-3 minutes away from being cooked properly al dente. Very tough pasta. Mushroom sauce was good. Also warm not HOT and took forever to...

This restaurant would be a great place if it wouldn’t take so long to get your food. I’ve been to this place several times and it was always very busy during the day (not to mention how it is in the evening). Despite they clearly see large amount of people coming there every day (I’m now talking about summer-September season - it’s very possible there will be less people later before skiing starts), somehow they were not able to speed up things in the kitchen. The food is really good, wine list is also ok. Deserts are just excellent, and waiters are quite nice. So if you’re not in a hurry, I would recommend to visit this place. Just don’t go there if you’re very hungry, you risk to wait another 40-50 min before you get the first course.

When we got here, we both had in mind that we will have the same experience as Dei Frati, but luckily we did not. The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the strong smell of Italian cuisine. Our reservation table was too small and too close to the door, the music was up beat, very cool and vibey. The waiter was a bit slow and did not acknowledge us at first and it took a long time to take our order, I do not think they did it intentionally because the restaurant was full. The food we ordered was very delicious and respected the Italian style. The raspberry tiramisu was divine. There is a high likelihood we will come back.
