NOT TOURIST FRIENDLY. The building and the food were great. But since I'm an obvious tourist OR maybe because of my race the service was terrible. I walked in and went to the only 2 workers to get a table. The waitress rolled her eyes, ignored me and went back to pressing buttons on a monitor. The waitor came up and seated me. Understanding it was busy I gave them time but after they Seated 2 tables after me, took their drink order, and delivered their drinks, then I was asked after the locals. The not-so-nice waitress/bartender delivered my guiness as if in a rush, pouring so that the head overflowed making a mess on the table and left without saying a word. No napkins were had. After that I watched as she checked on other tables, delivering drinks noticeably LESS rushed, even checking back in on some tables. I was met with silence as her pace quickened to pass my table. She was also the one to deliver my food, quickly again just placing my plate in front of me abruptly, without saying anything, then disappearing behind me. Moments later the waiter brought utensils and napkins and wished me a good meal. THE ONLY time she spoke to me was when delivering the bill as she asked me how much I was tipping!! The only reason I even left a tip were for the efforts of the waitor who took my order. I'm writing this review in the hopes that things will improve here for other traveler since the food was great and the atmosphere as well. But as someone who will gladly go to the same good restaurant twice a week when i find one i like; I will not be spending my...
Read moreThis is a case where it was necessary to visit the place twice to form an opinion. We avoided it for a long time due to bad reviews, but then the reviews suddenly improved. Since the restaurant has an undeniable advantage for us - it’s pet-friendly - we decided to give it a try. On our first visit, everything was okay, with minor flaws, but overall, as an adapted mix of Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese cuisine, it was acceptable. However, the second visit was a major disappointment, because we decided to celebrate a birthday there. Of the 3 dishes we ordered,2, which were described very differently, neither resembled their descriptions. Instead of all the listed vegetables, everything was filled with bell peppers (no mushrooms or green beans), and the squid had a strange taste.(you can see the amount of a Bell pepper at the photo). We won't go there again and don't recommend it to others, although, to be fair, the duck breast with noodles was tasty, but it's not worth going there for just one dish. The prices are on par with other restaurants in the city center, which doesn't match the quality. The funny part was that they charged an extra 5 lei for a micro-portion of soy sauce, which is odd for an Asian restaurant where soy sauce, like salt, is always...
Read moreAs a Singaporean (and Singapore being such a food lovers country) living in Brasov, I must say I am extremely impressed by the food in Little Hanoi!!!
My family and myself had a chance to visit during lunch hours on a weekday, and we ordered a variety of mains and appetizers and every dish were very delicious! Some of the main dishes we had were the Pad Thai, Pho, Rice noodles with duck, pork caramel and for appetizers we had the curry samosa, fried tempura shrimp and the Vietnamese spring roll! The food came very quickly (we were a table of 8 adults and 1 toddler).
Thank you for bringing more varieties of Asian cuisine to Brasov! My romanian husband (who kept saying the food reminded him very much of being in Singapore) and myself are now new fans of this restaurant and will be sure to patronize more often! I wish you a successful business and to always uphold your already very high standards!
Ps; no photos only because everyone were way too busy enjoying the...
