Mediterra Restaurant — Restaurant in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

This place was a happy find on our trip. Just lucky as we were in the mood for pasta (I know pasta in Romania?!). But the service was awesome and the food was very good. The wine was a very enjoyable generous pour. Adding to our experience the owner came and chatted with us a bit. When we walked into the place there was no one there. But soon after a whole group of school children came and then another group. The owner explained they serve lunch daily to the children of a local school as part of their after school program. It was beautiful. That would never happen in the USA. Bravo to the owner and his team for supporting the community. And for anyone worried about eating in a place with a bunch of kids - all were well behaved and just enjoyed the food and conversation with their peers just like adults. A very nice Restaurant with an incredibly nice staff and owner. We were staying in the hotel above and were greeted by him every night (or day) we came. Additionally, the restaurant is pretty close to a big market square, which became important when the annual art and music festival was hosted there and we could hear the music from the restaurant and could even see the crowd and a bit of the stage. The food was also very good. The owner gave a concert on one of the days we were there and it sounded very nice. On our last night, we had drinks to celebrate the vacation and one of the barkeepers mixes us drinks even though it was already very late. They were, as expected, super tasty. The wonderful husband and wife owners of Mediterra Restaurant, along with their entire staff, made us feel like family! We were catered to with genuine warmth and hospitality! The food was very tasty and fresh, presentation, atmosphere, quality of service, absolutely everything was impeccable!

High marks to the world-class live entertainment. Very beautiful voices and great talent.

Mediterra exceeded our most exigent expectations and we highly recommend this place for an unforgettably beautiful experience with the family - or on a date.
